What other hobbies and interests do you guys have besides collecting knives?

I'll start.

Fishing - Addicted to it. I mostly fish a local reservoir from a rowboat for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and the occasional trout. I'll be out there from April to November as much as possible. I had to sell some of my knives to buy fishing gear..it gets expensive.

Snowboarding - When fishing season is over its time to start snowboarding. I went up to VT a few times this season, which is always a bunch of fun.

American Muscle Cars - A bunch of my friends own em and we like to go to car shows every week during the summer.

Health & Fitness - I live a healthy and active lifestyle and I'm working towards becoming a PE teacher and personal trainer in the future.

Table Tennis - Got a table in the basement that holds some fun tournaments..

Hunting - I've been hunting for as long as I can remember. Mainly for turkey, dove, and rabbit.

Oh boy I get to talk about myself...
Huntin : All forms of small to large furry woodland creatures such as Rabbit, Squirell, Whitetail Deer, ground hog, coyote, etc etc

Fishin :, crappie and bluegill cuz they put up a good fight and they're tasty too!

Cars and Trucks: Import or Domestic doesnt matter to me, if it has an engine, it needs to make more power, mostly a GM/Honda guy though.

Cookin: I'm a awesome behind a grill or a stovetop just dont ask me to make anything with fish cuz I can never seem to get it right.

Pen and Ink Artist: I've been doing that since i was knee high to a grasshopper,(Bob Ross reallly pisses me off cuz he makes painting look so easy but i tried it and i cant get it to work for nuthin and i'really really want to do it too! but it's one of those thing i'm just not able to do well.)

Playin around the family machine shop, makin experimental stuff, everything from gunsmithin to making baja style go karts...

Martial Arts: Always been a wanna be Bruce Lee...

K I'm tired of typing now

Well, I like drag racing, classic cars, and Special Olympics. My wife and I are both coaches for S.O. This year I and another guy will be driving the WW.

I have a '66 Chevelle that has a blown small block for nice sunny days.
Don't have much time for anything else. Later, Bob

Photography...35 mm film, not digital. I was a "shooter" for our local newspaper for a couple years, back when I was in college, and I still do alittle of that now & then as a "stringer". I currently use a Nikon N90s AF camera, as it's autofocus is very quick, the camera is very well-made, & has many very usefull pro features.

I also collect cameras. I have a bunch of cool OLD cameras that I've picked up at yard sales, flea markets, thrift stores, etc..

I also like watching/photographing my 2 cats...Stanley, and Lady May-Bug.

From my handle you would think fencing is my hobby, but I haven't done that in a couple of years now. I used to advise the fencing club at the school where I worked.

My main hobby is motorcycling; I particularly like motorcycle touring and camping, and I have dabbled a bit with long distance endurance riding (mostly out of morbid curiosity).

I enjoy conventional camping without the motorcycle too.

I also have had a lifelong interest WWII aviation, particularly the Luftwaffe, and I have built scale models off and on since my teens.

I have many other interests that come and go. I have found that just about anything is interesting if you stop to learn enough about it.

Used to play Rugby- was involved w/ the admin stuff as well as playing. Gave it up a few years ago before I moved back here- too old & banged up to be competitive anymore- plus some nerve damage in my neck has made it too dangerous for me to continue. Still like to get out & watch the fellahs when there is a home match.

I throw boomerangs when I get the chance- have a bunch that I like to take out when the weather cooperates. Would like to get into competitions/tournaments. I did one a couple of years ago & had a good time.

I drum for a bagpipe band: Tidewater Pipes & Drums. http://tpandd.exis.net/ We do competitions through the spring/summer & do events, parades, etc- big fun & becoming more of a time commitment.

I do (used to anyway) a bit of writing & have gotten a few pieces published locally & nationally. Need to get focused on that again.

Edit to include that I have a lap mountain dulcimer sitting in the corner & it's making me feel bad because it hasn't been out of the case in ages. I need to learn to play something other than "Amazing Grace"

other than knives, I like making furniture and doing different metal and woodwork.

Let's see...Bicycling....I not only ride but repair, rebuild, etc. Presently riding a 1972 vintage Belgian roadster.

Archery. Got "back" into traditional archery a couple of years ago. I've built three longbows and a crossbow. Do my own arrows, all that. Next project, a full-sized "medieval" crossbow.

Computer gaming....I spend an inordinate amount of time playing a variety of shooters and WWII sims.

Music. I still flail at my guitar, and I built a "cigar-box" guitar last year. May do a nicer one with a pickup. They can sound pretty wicked played with a slide.

I still throw knives occasionally, but I'm trying to get over a rotator-cuff injury.

Weight lifting, I spend about 4 days a week in the gym. I also like fishing and camping. Used to play basketball 3 nights a week until I dislocated my foot:thumbdn:

I just started a new hobby, collecting Geomag. Geomag is sets of .5 inch steel spheres and rods with magnets on the end. You can build structures and such. One person on the net made a scale Taj Mahal.

They are amazingly hard to find, it's not clear to me if it's because the demand iss high or because the little snot noses swallowing magnets from the cheap knock offs.

Here's a couple of vids from youtube, not mine I'm not that good yet

Mixed Martial Arts
Neuro Linguistics Programming
Hypnosis
Philosophy
General health and fitness (weights, cardio, performance excercises)

Not so much, mainly because I can't afford to put much focus on them at the moment:
Guns
Flashlights

Since I run my own practice 6 days a week, have a couple of kids, a loving wife and two crazy dogs... my "me" time is limited. But... I enjoy:

Hunting: spring turkey madness is looming, fall pheasant
Model-T's: have a 1917 Touring that is a hoot.
hiking with my kids
in theory (i.e. when the time will permit): fishing, camping
Shooting: skeet shoot monthly, pistols at the range, hope to get a decent scoped .22 at some point for target shooting.
Someday would like to resume: guitar playing, reading for pleasure

I'm an avid fisherman; have three different types of boats all set up for differnt sizes of lakes, ect.

I also do woodworking and I like remodeling homes. I have done two different remodels, and I'm in the middle of my third one. With that, comes the assortment of tools, and some of that stuff is more expensive than knives!

I also enjoy shooting; I own several handguns and carry one every day. My newest two handguns haven't been fired yet; waiting for better weather.

I love to cook, and BBQ. This has made me fat. :( (that and beer.)

My wife has also recently got me into wines.

I also stay active in my two daughters lives as much as they let me. :)
