Your own physical reaction to having had the vaccine shots

Got the first vaccine on December 2nd. Had to call out of work the next day because I felt like I had the flu. I thought I'd be fine to work just feeling hot, tired and nauseous, but then I sneezed vomit and decided to play it safe. Felt pretty sick for two days, and didn't feel 100% until 4 days after. I'm not looking forward to the 2nd dose.

My wife's arm was sore for a few days after her booster. Mine has been canceled 3 times so I'll guess I'll find out eventually.

First 2 shots, Pfizer, only side effect was really tired for about 24 hours.
Tomorrow at noon, Pfizer booster. I'll chime in again but not expecting much other than maybe same effect as the initial shots

Booster of moderna a couple weeks ago. Sore arm, felt a little off for about a day, nothing like the second dose which floored me for about 12 hours.

Which one did you get?

First shot last spring left me with a sore arm but was likely more from the VA clinic tech who used poor technique shoving the needle into my arm haha. The second shot was a different tech and I never even felt it. I was in for a checkup a couple weeks ago and got the booster at the same time as my flu shot this year and other than some slight soreness at the injection site I didn’t notice any residual soreness or pain afterwards.

I have a feeling the covid shot will eventually be rolled into a yearly shot along with the flu shot.

Both times, it made me slightly sleepy, and I took a nap. No other notable physical reactions for me.

Ive had both astra zeneca jabs...first one gave me terrible shakes/chills...never known anything like it...could not get warm...tried to drink water but i was shuddering so badly i slopped the water around ...next night the bed was drenched with sweat...like i had a shower and hopped into bed with out drying...
Second shot no dramas.

I forgot to update:
I got my Pfizer booster and a flu shot on the same day, before noon. Was mostly fine that until evening, and then I had flu like symptoms that lasted for almost 24 hours.
Pretty much back to normal soon after that.

Since I didn’t experience side effects like that with first 2 Covid shots, I attribute it to either the flu shot, or the combination of Covid and flu vaccines administered at the same time.

Got my Moderna booster last month, only had a sore arm at injection site for two days, no other side effects.

Got my Moderna booster a few days ago. Slightly sore arm but my wife said I was even sexier now than before, so that's a plus.

Had a double tap of Pfizer early this year, and just got the Moderna booster yesterday. Was moving my arm around a bunch after the shot, so there is barely any soreness. Feel a little run down, and have a headache, but no fever/chills. If was kind of weird after getting the booster, the headache started on that side of the body where the shot was administered. Who knows if that was psychosomatic though? Nurse recommended staying hydrated, consuming some additional electrolytes, and taking Acetaminophen if needed.

I'm one of the dopes who got the single-dose J&J shot. I had fever and chills/sweats about 4 hours after the shot, which lasted until I went to bed. Felt fine the next day.

Had a Pfizer booster and had virtually no side effects.

Sore arm for me and wife. Still, I’m not going to take these in perpetuity, for the privilege of working. I’ll go Galt before that.

Pfizer Booster - Sore arm and slight cold symptoms for 24hrs - Nothing serious.

I had the Pfizer shots, just got the 3rd not long ago. Flu-like symptoms but only for a day and a half. Slept most of it anyway.

1st, 2nd and booster with Pfizer. No symptoms whatsoever except for a bit of soreness on the injection site for about 24-36 hours.
