Your Perfect knife?

That WH is gorgeous. Not my perfect knife, but it just looks awesome......
This is my problem. Even when I know that a knife is not perfect for me, I could go for it.....

My perfect folder resembles something like a Shirogorov 111 and my perfect fixed blade resembles something a classic Bob Lum Tanto. Those are just rough approximations though, my tastes have changed drastically over time.

Eliminate the little issues with the Wilson Combat Rapid Response and this would be my perfect folder. Even with these issues its still my favorite modern folder, one of the best looking modern folders and one of the best blades of any folder I own.

The 204p Sprint run Spyderco Military has really monopolized my pocket. It seems as though it does everything I need and hits all my ergo requirements and carries well.

The fixed blade realm has provided me with some conflicts lately. I find that I am prefering thinner more strsditional blade designs. The LT Wright Northern Hunter has been my user lately.

Nice knives, guys!
Warren Thomas M2. This folder uses a simple, strong design. Only two fasteners, fore and aft.
Light in weight, using Titanium and G10 construction. And, this knife will never rust.
Carbide edge for aggressive cutting.
PERFECT.

I have a pile of perfect knives.

This one here is perfect for cutting up summer sausage. That one over there rides perfectly in the pocket. That one in the B.O.B, well it's perfect for the B.O.B.

Can't wait to find another knife that's perfect for something else.

Close to percect folders- (already exists for me) emerson horseman. Spyderco Manix 2.
Fix blade- something of a cross between a gerber yari 2 and a esee 4

After buying and carrying a lot of knives the closest thing I've found to a perfect knife is the Spyderco PM2. I like the Benchmade Strykers too such as the older 913 and the current 908, and I could be happy with one of those too.

I don't think there is a "perfect do it all knife". If there was there probably wouldn't be thousands of options out there. The blade I use to hack tree limbs isn't going to be my choice to prepare food. Different knives for different applications. I like a variety of steel. Every steel has its advantages/disadvantages. That being said I like strong 3-3.5" folders less than 4oz.

Below are my favorites and what I consider the best for my personal uses. Only knife I feel I'm missing from this group is a 940-1 for the S90V blade in a nice slim/light package. Also left out are my ESEE lite machete in 1075(outdoor work) and Bradford Gatsby in M390(kitchen).

3V (lg edc abuse fixed), S35VN(edc abuse folder), ZDP-189(slicer/pocket razor/pocket food prep), M4(high abuse folder), M390(everyday folder), white paper(everyday fixed).

It's always a give and take. I keep coming back to a N° 10 Opinel in carbon steel. Then for a sheath knife, it's usually a puukko by Danijel Haramina. I'll switch that out with a Becker BK-15 if I need light batonning.

Perfect? That's a tough one. This is the closest I've found so far. I really need to take some new pics.

My Hinderer XM-18 for a folder and fixed blade wise I love my Swamp Rat rodent 4. Also carry an Emerson fixed Karambit and full sized Ka-Bar while I'm on tour or exercise.
