my sharpest out-of-the-box knife is my Spyderco S90V Millie which can clearly push-cut newspaper with no pressure at all

however, my FFG Pacific Salt is literally hair-carving sharp (mod done by Romanian knifemaker Matei Campan, you can see some of his work here)

so, what are your sharpest knives and how do you test them?

FB's> My Leu Customs.
Folder>Three way tie; D2 P-Mil, Black Bear Metro Razor with CPM154, and my Curly Friction Folder by DeLeeuw with RWL34.

Busse BWM that I put a nice 30 degree polished edge on with my Edge Pro Apex, atom splitting sharp.

Spydie Native III in VG10, Case yellow stockman in CV, Schrade USA Sharpfinger. All were shocking sharp out of the box.

My CMP-D2 Para Military, it wasn’t the sharpest out of box but its the sharpest now.

my Soligen straigh razor... All my other knives are close to its sharpening but as razor its only knife that I strop. Lansky croc sticks make almost any knife sharp enough without stropping... i.e. shaving hair back of your arm without problem... But the facial hair is so much different from the hair back of your hand...

Mine would be my Kershaw Scallion in Damascus, it came very sharp out of the box, my Kershaw Skyline also came sharp out of the box.

Out of the box, the Spyderco Military is the sharpest knife I've ever handled. Spyderco Temp2 and StreetBeat are right behind it.
The only knife that can rival it in sharpness (after sharpening), is the Carbon steel Opinels.
