your sharpest knife?

Out of box goes to my S90V millie and every millie I have seen for that matter but still nothing compares to the edges I apply. Steel that gets the sharpest for me is without a doubt CPM-M4.

+1 on CPM M4 getting the sharpest, especially Spyderco's and Krein's. My Benchmades in CPM M4 don't seem as crisp and doesn't get quite as sharp as my other M4, but after a Phil Wilson re heat treat to 64-66 RC I'm hoping my Benchmade and soon to arrive Gayle Bradley M4 folder will get even sharper than my Mule & Krein.

Spyderco Native in ZDP is the sharpest out of the box.
Sharpest in the collection is an old Fred Carter "Gigand" in AUS-8 after much careful honing and polishing the edge.

my CS pocket Bushman was the sharpest thing I've ever seen fresh out of the box.
my SAK huntsman takes the best edge of anything I've got, although my Opinels are a close second. (#6 folder & paring knife)

My sharpest knife is also my oldest and smallest....a 50+-year-old 2 1/2-inch Old Crafty stockman....it`s thin, carbon-steel blades take an incredible edge, and could be used as a surgical scalpel.
As I recall, my Trailmaster bowie (first production run, Carbon V steel), came with a wicked-sharp convex edge, and more recently, my 2 Kershaw Tyrades (composite blades), and Zero Tolerance 0350 (S30V) came out of their boxes ready to shave.
And then there`s my kitchen knives, but I guess that`s another story for another day....

correction to my earlier post . i had forgotten about my spyderco mule in m4. this knife was packed in sheath made by my nephew. was in go bag for hunting. m4 is one of the smallest grain al;loys i've seen & takes edge as good as anything i've seen. wish some custom maker would offer in 8 or 9 in. blade. chopper or camp profile.

Sharpest was a Krein re-grind of my emerson commander

2nd is my spyderco s90v military

3rd microtech mini-socom

4th emerson CQC-12 and original commander

David Farmer custom "Bump" FB with full flat grind 1095 and convex edge. I never understood "hair popping" until I had this knife.

kershaw storm, i cut paper to test for nicks in the edge and try to shave with it to test the sharpness of the edge

Without a doubt the sharpest would be this hollow ground A2 blade from Chuck Gedraitis:

A close second would be a tie between one of these Beretta Loveless Hunters:

and a Dozier Buffalo River Hunter:

Sharpest knife I own? Not OOB but just blades that take the finest edge?
Any of my pocket knives with Carbon V blades, with my 1095 blades a very close second.
