Your top #1 favorite 3-4" tactical folder?

I am going to add the Spyderco Calypso, Jr. to this!! Fantastic little knife!!

Al Mar SERE 2000. This knife is tough as heck, has a large handle that fits my hand well, and locks up solid as a rock. I was hesitant about buying it because I didn't know if I'd like the spear point. It immediately became my favorite EDC of all times.

Gotta go with my CRKT m-16 00 CF. It might be more "practical" than "tactical", but this little guy has never let me down. I know it is less than 3", but my "team" days are behind me:) By the way, what would you consider tacical uses anyways?

I am partial to my EKI CQC7b and Commander. I like also my MOD Tempest, old school design and a great friggin cutting tool, and last but not least my MT SOCOM. That knife is probably the best designed cutting insturment devised. It is razor sharp and pointy as hell and hell for stout. I have a bunch of folders I can choose from but these are the ones I carry the most often. Actually the most often is the 7b. keepem sharp

I enjoy the TOPS FCQT Thunder Hawke Close Quarter Tactical Folder. The blade is 3.6 inches. It comes in either a tanto or hunter's point.
Blade Steel: 154 CM - RC 60
Handle Material: T-6 Aircraft Aluminum
Handle Finish: Black Traction Coating
Liner Lock:: Stainless Steel 17-4 Heat Treated
Sheath Material: Kydex Clip Reversible Spring Steel
It feels great in the hand and it's tougher than what TOPS told me the capabilities are.

I still rotate my EDC's fairly often but The one that gets grabbed for first is still the Strider SnG. It is big enough, small enough, lots of belly, thick but not too thick spine...:)

Oh yeah and if I'm going to pay that kind of coin for a blade, I'm going to show it off dang it!

Love the thought provoking thread

This is a tough choice. Depends on what I'm wearing.

If in actual pants, a Manix.

If in jogging shorts, a Military, because it's much lighter. I've had a Military open up on me before when pulling out a bandana, or if I've dropped it on the floor. I've since tighted it up pretty hard.

Doubt either will happen with a Manix, it being a lockback and staying shut better.

My #1 is my Spyderco Military and my #2 is my Almar Sere, I am glad to see many still like the Sere. I carried one in Iraq and it never failed me. I great working mans knife and field knife.

BM 710 for me. Steel, axis lock, and G-10 make it a winner in my book.
Spyderco Para is a close second for the same reasons (compression lock in its case though).

"By the way, what would you consider tacical uses anyways?"

Silent de-animation of the nasty dried saucisson sitting on my table :D
