Your unusual EDC items?

Its not an EDC, but in my "leaving the house in a hurry" kit, I have a tap key that fits a lot of the local anti-tamper water faucets. I did spend a little more on reusable masks with filter inserts which will also be of value during the next fire season. I don't think much of what I carry would be of any real surprise to this crowd, though some may wonder why I carry as much as I do I think it all makes sense. Also, backpack rather than pockets is a significant shift. I don't think I could go back to "pockets only" but its pretty much been how I've always been.

I carry a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter in my watch pocket. Throughout my lifetime, that adapter always seems to be the main tool that disappears from mine and other peoples toolboxes. Keeping one in my watchpocket means that I'll always have one with me just in case me or someone else needs it.

3/8 down to 1/4 or 1/4 up to 3/8 ?

1/4" to 3/8".
I've never actually needed one and they're really not common in sets from my experience.

I suppose that's probably because they have 1/4 ratchet bodies with 3/8 anvils now, but even those have faded a bit in popularity because the range of 1/4 sockets has expanded.

9/16 and 14mm are something you didn't used to see in a 1/4 drive set, I have even seen a set go up to 15mm.

Yeah, but if you really need one some day and don't have one and didn't keep one in your watchpocket, you'll get mad at yourself!

On that note: One time I was with my dad and we needed a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter and he couldn't find one anywhere. And I have been carrying mine in my watchpocket for so long that I forgot about it. I didn't remember it until we were at the store looking to buy him one! LOL!
