I like Ankerson, Charlie Mike and Lisantica because they review/overview knives I already have or plan to purchase. Their reviews are honest, short and straight to the point. I'm not a fan of overly long intros, the loud music, etc. I'd also add Monkey Edge.

i love the cajun blaze! i also enjoy iamboognish's reviews, i think he very honest and has an interesting perspective on a lot of knives that is a little different from everyone else's reviews. both are very informative.

the knife test/knife destruction guy is good. I like seeing what a knife can do. I mean sure you wouldnt need to chip/cut thru masonery but what if you had to?

I have to say that I look at videos from Noss too. They make me cringe, but you know, show me another $10 knife with a half tang that stands up the stuff he puts the Mora Clipper through, for example. Conventional "knife wisdom" today says that there is no way it can handle that abuse.

I like the reviewers that actually take the knife out and use it. The table top reviews just don't do it for me. The only thing that they are good for, IMO, is a size relation if you can't physically handle a knife before buying it and to view the fit and finish.

Someone else I like, who just doesn't do knife reviews, is Bladerique (Adam from Equip to Endure). Woodsmonkey is a good site for knife and equipment reviews too. They tend to hit most of the spectrum with great user reviews.

I agree that those videos have a certain entertainment value, but can you honestly speculate a situation where you would really have to cut chip masonry with a knife? I am exiting the portion of my life where one might expect to encounter exciting situations, and I have never had to resort to a knife to breach masonry.

I find I appreciate knife "review" videos for various reasons that are subject to change over time. The guys that share personal opinions regarding knives are pretty interesting. Spouting numbers and dimensions are a waste of video IMO.

That said, review videos are an entertainment only thing for me. I don't think I have had a purchase influenced by one in recent years....in case anyone cares.

I can't get into very many of the knife review video guys. Either the vids are entirely too long, or it's just some guy with a handy cam pointed at his desk while he unboxes a brand new knife and has a field day with vocal fillers. I like BluntTruth's and Ankerson's reviews because they're short and actually have some real world knife application being demonstrated. Even then, I don't watch them often.

In general, reading BFC is a much better way to get information on knives I'm interested in, and it's way more entertaining. Besides, I've seen reviews before that sing the praises of a certain blade, and yet I can't stand the knife when it arrives in my hand.

I'm not too picky with video reviewers. Most of my research on a given knife is done on the forums and if I've reached the you tube stage it's only to get a better idea of how the knife looks in hand. As for written reviews, woodsmonkey stands out as my favorite.
