Youre favorite knife reveiwer?

its weird/sad to actually see even on the blade forums people talking about "reviewers" that only buy the knives to show them and tell the specs without ever even using or carrying that knife. there is so many of them on you tube and yet even here they get the publicity lol.
adam from e2e, virtuovice n nutn and of course meee :) lol just kidding, im nobody

I quite enjoy your reviews as well. When I go to videos I usually check Adam and yourself first. :)

I agree buddy. There are a lot of "Reviews" out there that arn't much more than reading the manufacturer's description.

lol I almost never detail exact specs anymore in my videos. It seems like waste of the video format. It should be about showing the knife from all angles, showing how it fits in hand, how the moving parts behave, and explaining anything that isn't obvious simply by looking.

I'm surprised there aren't more people mentioning Adam from equip2endure..... very informative and the way he talks captures your attention without being too dramatic/overly enthusiastic (like nutnfancy and cajunblaze). Davefromnyc is pretty good too, but he only does reviews on folders.

+3 or whatever on the following guys:
virtuovice
BLUNTRUTH4U

The things I like about these guys:
  1. They review most of the knives I'm interested in. This also means they may review a knife I didn't know about but has a lot of the qualities I like.
  2. They are thorough in the sense that they put the knife to practical use and give feedback on the results. Like the performance of a blade steel after they take video of dressing a deer or building a shelter, They show themselves testing how a knife handles in the field, or what the knife is really like under the hood and the quality of the hidden parts. They shed a lot of light on what you can't see in the catalog.
  3. Maybe the most important - They cut through the marketing and they are not afraid to tell you something performs different from what the salesmen at the company claim, or because of what has become rhetoric on the forums.

note* BLUNTRUTH4U has not made a video this year, and I can't find any info as to why. His account and videos are still on youtube, so you can see his work so far, but if anyone knows what happened, I'd be curious to know if he'll be back.

Although controversial with some I think Nutnfancy is quite a fine knife reviewer, he usually has a lot of good stuff to say.

Keep in mind I look at his reviews from an objective standpoint.

I will grant you the fact that he does side track a bit and his reviews do run long, however you can find a good deal of his knife reviews at the 10 minute cap (I guess this is before he realized you could upload longer vids ;-) lol). I used to hear tons of bad sh** about nutnfancy but after watching a lot of his knife reviews I can say that he has says a lot of things that I can agree with, like I said I look at his knife reviews objectively and there are things that I disagree with. I also tend to find his reviews more watchable than others, he usually doesnt let the conversation he is having go dry or dead.

My favorite knife/LED flashlight/firearm reviewer?

ME!

That means I already own it - and can enjoy it. Get the odd turkey? Hmmm, regifter - one of my sons will get a neat goodie for Christmas... remember, it's the thought that counts!
