wonder what kangaroo meat tastes like...bet not like chicken.....

It's delicious. They cut big thick steaks of tail. Extremely lean meat. Never had a gamey peice. Not sure if that's typical or preparation.

They also eat a thick slice of pickled beet and a fried egg on their burgers in Australia. Sounds like an odd combo, but I'm a fan.

We have a bunch of chewed up morakniv knives for meat cutting in the kitchen, even though there's damage to the edge and they lost most of their sharpness they still go through most food items with relative ease. The wife hasn't been taught the finer points of knife care so she's pretty rough with them, be that so, theyre just 10 dollars a piece but they are great quality for the price. I tend to use folding knives when preparing meat but gotta be careful not to get meat stuffs inside the clockworks

Same here. My wife prefers the Victorinox, Boker, Tramontina route...while I have some customs from Murray Carter, Jerry Halfrich and "navman".

But I cannot, for the life of me, understand why anyone really feels the need to use folders in the manner bolded above. To each their own and all that, but I think it's intentionally choosing the wrong tool for the job. Now if it makes you happy, that's reason enough.

That's all I got. I'm usually successful in not opening threads on this recurring topic. Failed this time around.

Its mainly to get use out of them as they currently aren't being used as much as id have liked them to be

Me watching someone cut up a Ribeye before they stick it in their Air Fryer.

I have used a folder on steak because the knife they provided couldn’t cut jelly. I don’t remember which knife I used …. Kapara I think ?
However, steak is messy and I prefer a a serrated steak knife.

Agreed. But, on more than one occasion I've been asked to help in a host's kitchen or at the grill and resorted to my folder-of-the-day when other, suitable cutlery was not available. Definitely not ideal, but I ensure the knife is thoroughly cleaned before and after use.
