You're pretty when I'm drunk.

+1 on the Evan Williams Single Barrel, HDW. Pretty good stuff for the money, although I wish it was a bit higher proof.

Hey brother, I'm a firm believer in dropping coin for good booze. :) Don't get me wrong, I don't mind inexpensive stuff, but when I'm shopping for me, I reach up instead of down.

I've been milking a bottle of 18yo for the better part of a year, suggesting it's settling for less is making me feel all unclassy nshit. ya rich bastard :p

I'm just playing bro:thumbup:. I cant even imagine what 30yo tastes like, I bet it's like french kissing with god.

If I could afford 30yo I'd probably spend the money on sherpas to carry beer for me. I love scotch, but MAN do I love beer!

weed,110 vodka, red bull...the 110 vodka is also antibiotic and can start fires

I like to bring a tin of skoal too. Ain't nothin' like packin' a fat wad of chaw while you sit round the fire.

My Dad is a bourbon man through and through, so I am being slowly converted. Usually it is Blantons, Jefferson Reserve or Elijah Craig 18 yr. If we gots to go cheaper I like Eagle Rare better then Knob Creak or Makers Mark and it's a little cheaper then both;)
Good cigars are also a must!!

If I am not a Whiskey kinda guy, do you have any recommendations for something that is decent warm?

I'm a big fan of Sambuca, but in general I tend to reach for Gin. I'm looking for a good campfire sipper.

Ya'll make me feel like white trash.

I've tried expensive whiskey. I've tried expensive bourbon. After all of that, you know what still does it for me every time?

Bud light. Love it. I'd replace water with bud light in drinking fountains if I could. Tastiest stuff I've ever had. Bud light and a tin of CAO vanillas and I'm a HAPPY man.

I'll one up you. Jack Daniels. I can, and sometimes do, drink the shit out of it. None of the fancied up versions, though. Just plain old No. 7, and for a overnighter I'll normally just grab a half-pint (maybe a pint, on rare occasions) since I dont want to feel too rough in the morning and sleep it away.

I'm a beer kind of guy.But when hiking or camping I don't drink(or very, very little - just to say "cheers" to the guys) - I want my mind to be clear, when THEY come for me... :D :D :D

Dogfish is pretty expensive, but man that packs a wicked punch doesnt it?! Gene

I enjoy having a nice drink every now and then. I am a Vodka guy, but I'll occassinally have a glass of Scotch. Johny Blue is the most expensive I have in my bar.

I have always enjoyed beer. Lately my neighbors and I have been getting together every Sunday afternoon for football. We each bring a 6pack of something different.

DogFish Imperial 90 minute is my current favorite. If you haven't tried that, I highly recommend it. Can get pricey at $12.00 for a 4 pack.

Yeah it does, The first time I tried it I had just finished my 3rd and I had a buzz going. I thought to myself; WTF am I turning into a light weight. Than I saw the alcohol content.

As I type this I am drinking their Palo Santo Marron, Kind of like Guiness but with 12% alcohol:eek: and a woodier flavor.

It's nice to sip a little Crown or Jack around the campfire...I also like to pack along a couple cans of Guiness (survival food in a can:D). Hell, I think alcohol was discovered about the same time fire was...:D

DON'T HURT ME!!!!!! The one time I bought a bottle of Glenlivet....I thought it tastes like bad tequila... :hides:

I like
Jamesons
Powers Irish
Buffalo Trace Bourbon(my new favorite)
Guinness
Shiner Bock

My booze is weak, some friends get me to taste different scotches, but it's like breathing fire for me.

I do like a nice beer, but cant bear the idea of carrying it.

If i carried a flask, i might fill it with a brandy.
apricot brandy is popular here at Christmas time.
It's pretty sweet, but has a great smooth mouth feel, very fruity and aromatic.

A lot of good stuff being named in this thread. We have some good drinkers around here.

All of the guys talking about the after effects of the alcohol, one good thing about the expensive stuff, it's so clean and nice that as long as you don't go crazy on it, just have a little cocktail or two, you won't have any ill effects or feel it the next day. I can't drink the rot gut that I could in high school because of that. If you give me a good bottle of single malt, I'll have a couple of glasses a few fingers deep over ice or neat and be just fine in the morning. You give me one shot of Ole No. 7 or Jose and I'm hung over before I swallow it. One thing is for sure, we might not all drink alike, but we do all enjoy a beverage (except those who don't be they're still goodguys). I'd be happy to sit around the campfire with all you lot! ...or just a hangaround in the local pub. They're all local to me. ;)

While beer is my drink of choice in civilization, until someone comes up with a dehydrated beer, I'll bring a small flask of something with a bite to the woods. I prefer cognac or brandy but some nice bourbon or scotch is tasty too. A nip or two is perfect around the campfire but I never have even close to enough to regret it in the morning.

If I'm in a beer mood, it's Newcastle. My favorite fireside cocktail as of late is Cuervo Black with Coke and lime. If I'm feeling extra special sporty, I'll splurge on a Lagavulin 16 and fire up a Fuente Fuente Opus X (when I can find one).

I drink like a fish but that's my only vice so hey who cares !!!

I really like my real ales and some great ones come out for Winter time, nice Porters etc. My favourite brewer is Phillips although I have some Okanagan Spring Porter in my fridge and that takes some beating !!!

I also like my Single malts although one at the end of the night usually does me. Of these I prefer the Speyside malts for their smoothness !!!!
