You're pretty when I'm drunk.

Man, I like a good porter. Im a fan of the Petes Wicked Ale too. Newcastle is good stuff, as is a good ole draw of Guiness. Man, I like my beer dark. The darker the better. My wife hates the beer I drink, but the bud lights etc just taste like water to me. She drinks good wine, and peach long islands.

If I bring anything when I'm out it's usually Gray Goose vodka with single serve packs of Propel as the mix, good stuff.

I also love Jameson mixed with some Carolans and coffee.

I don't really like to drink while out camping...I usually only do it if I am out car (well, truck) camping with friends. Then I'll play along, but I don't really enjoy it.

If I am drinking because I feel like it, I'll drink one of a few drinks:

jaegermeister for sipping
bell's for drinking
alberta springs for pounding

I've never been into liquor. I like a good beer. Really aren't too many I don't like. I've kinda run out of my taste for wheat beers, but a Tucher is still a good treat. I like em dark, I like em hoppy too. I can even occasionally do those horrid bitter ones that give you a sour stomach. I have a neighbor who is a kind beer drinker like me. Her husband is a buswiser beer driver. We rag him. I don't do bud-miller-coors-pabst-da bullit- or even that pseudo good beer Yingling. I like Sam Adams, I like Guiness, I like almost everything Dixie Beer makes. They sponsored the Baton Rouge frisbee tournaments, and used to bring a dozen kegs over for the party. Mmmmmm. Actually, most of the frisbee tournaments were sponsored by a local brewery and the party was stocked. That was college, and the frisbee team tought me to love kind... beers.

Did somebody say kind bud? :p

I occasionally have a rum and coke ,or even spiced rum and coke especially around X-Mass but I really am not much of a drinker. I do like to smoke a nice fatty once and a while out in the woods but often I will be enjoying riding my quad and getting outside that I will forget all about it.

I just finished reading a great book called "A Rifleman went to War" about a American soldier who joined the Canadian army in WW1 so he could go overseas. Anyway after the war he had the opportunity to help pick some of the best ideas from the canadian/british service to use in the new American army. He devoted several pages of the book to ranting about how pissed off he was that they did not get the rum ration but did keep the stupid hats.

His argument for the rum ration was excellent and he actually got to see how well it worked in improving morale. Unfortunately this was the time of the suffragette movement and the start of alcohol prohibition and the strident women really pushed the idea that these poor men were fed booze and sent off drunk into the guns. Really it was just a shot in the morning and a way for the men to know that the officers were trying to
make them as comfortable as possible.

My point (there really is one) is a nice shot of rum on a cold morning really helps to get the blood flowing. The rum they had in the Brit army was actually watered down.

I love a good single malt, usually Macallan or Balvenie Double Wood, Laphroaig when the mood hits. I've been known to carry a flask on a hike. :D

If I'm not in the mood for scotch then I drink beer. Pilsner Urquell, Bitburger, Stella Artois and 1554 are my usual choices.

New York City Diesel and Jimmy Beam Black here

I rarely drink
But, when I'm camping I like to pretend I am a Grizzly Adams or Alferd Packer
(It helps with my escape reality reasons for camping)
Those dudes would not have any food or water for days in subzero, blizzard like conditions
Yet, they would sip off their Taos Lightning flasks all DAY long!!
They think they put gunpowder in it..LOL

I wish they made 3/4 pints of Whiskey
1/2 pint is too little
1 full pint is too much for me

You guys who drink booze on the rocks or straight are hard core!!
I wonder if some day I will be able to handle booze on the rocks??

i ususally carry a flask of Yukon Jack... the "Black Sheep of Canadian Liquors." its the only 100 proof liquor i can drink straight. I will soon try the Yukon Jack Permafrost pepperment schnaps. if its anything like Rumplmintz i should like it.

I'm pretty simple...
Jamesons Irish whisky

I like the way you think, mate.

I'm young, so the budget doesn't usually let me get anything rediculously expensive. I prefer Irish whiskey. jamesons (the standard stuff) normally, and Bushmills 10 years for my flask and special occasions. I usually can't stand Bourbon. I do like the plain Jack Daniels sometimes though. I am also veeery fond of baileys. :D

How else do people drink it?

I don't really like alcohol with ice in it...I prefer the taste of it warmed up a little, and I don't like it cut with water much, either!

I had my first ever mixed drink on halloween...some fancy place was having an absinthe party and the reps were giving it away, so I had some...they put a sugar cube on it, and lit it on fire, and then dripped water on the sugar. I was like, hey, man, what are you doing to my drink? Just give me a damn glass with the booze in it! They argued with me so I drank the sugared up one, then got a couple of straight shots out of them. Man, gulping back a shot or two of absinthe is pretty startling! You sure feel the high alcohol content.

I love a good beer; emphasis on "good"! :D

And what does a good beer consist of? It's most likely dark, thick, robust and only a little bitter. Samual Smith's Oatmeal Stout comes to mind, although McEwan's Scotch Ale is currently my favorite beer. Dark, flavorful, and 8% alcohol so you can sp it for a while. Tastes great with barbecued beef or pumpkin pie, although I don't generally pack those into the woods :p

I love trying new beers, although I avoid uber-hoppy or uber-light beer. Gimme some flavor! My current foray is a 4-pack of Young's Double Chocolate Stout. Who knew good beer could come in a can?! ;) This one is a milk stout with chocolate; it's probably the most uiquely-flavored beer I've drank to date.

When I drink, I have a strict 1-serving limit. Doing so enables me to avoid post-drinking crappiness!

When I was young and backpacking it was Everclear mixed with Tang and some water.

So now I wonder what happened to my memory banks.

LOL! FYI, real Absinthe is 150 proof. you're a maniac if you drink that isht straight.

around town i like to drink Fat Tire, and have a couple shots of Jagermeister, but it has to be ICE COLD. nothing is worse than a shot of warm Jager.

around the campfire, Crown Royal or Captain Morgan's if i'm having a sweet tooth...

one grande on booze, no way! :D

Get a case of molson in me from the New Brunswick brewery and Im set.

I used to drink a bit of Makers Mark and Knob Creek, now I prefer Woodford Reserve, for me it is nice and smooth. I think I will need to try some of the Evan Williams soon though. For beer I like Sam Adams, good variety and good flavors.

Im frugal. I like good stuff at a cheap price. Canadian Mist is what I drink, staright. Dont knock it until you try it. Blenders Gold Cigars from Walgreens.
