YouTube Review Constructive Criticism and your YouTube Favorites

The thing I like about a decent YouTube review is that you can see a lot of the knife. You can see it from different angles. You can see it played with, fidgeted with, and used. Maybe you can see it taken apart. You also get to hear from someone who has presumably used a lot of different knives. How are the ergonomics? How does it feel in pocket? Is it fun to use?

There is also a social component. Men have always seemed to enjoy gathering to compare, discuss, and show off tools. I don't care if it's cars, guns, power tools, or older tech throughout history. YouTube reviews can serve as a specialized form of that and can get it done in high volume. It provides a fix and not just for shut-ins, people on strange schedules, or those whose interests don't match up with their neighbors. ;)

I like 'Vinnies Day Off'
He proves that skill and finesse beats brute force 100% of the time.
He's built shelters using slipjoints ranging from a vintage pen knife to a Rough Rider (and Case) Trapper and Stockman, to an Opinel, and a SAK
He also built one using a Buck standard nothing fancy production 110.

I find most not that informative. the intros are very lame and a waste of my time. too much talking without saying anything useful. too much begging at the end for likes and subscribing.

not really a fan of the majority of these reviewers. a rare few I enjoy.
