Yvsa, I had a pewter plate given to me by some dear friends when I left Belgium back in '85. Lost the plate in Hurricane Andrew, but I'll never forget the simple and eloquent inscription my friends had engraved on it. A phrase fitting and relevant when observing special days like the birthdays of friends....Les temps passe, L'amitie reste. "Time passes, Friendship remains". Happy birthday Yvsa.

Turned 63 today and still a young pup in my mind although some days my body feels like it's 105.
Had a nice birthday surprise this morning when I jumped, well eased up, on the scales.
Found that I had lost 4 pounds!!!! I started the Atkins diet a few days ago as it's very similar to the Paleoethic diet. Maybe it's gonna work.
Kinda scary eating all the meat and fat, crisp fried chicken and its skin, red meat, thick juicy po'k chops, real butter and the like after being told that such a diet will kill you.
All I got with the prescribed diet of today with all its grains and carbohydrates was just fatter!!!!
