Zero Tolerance 0392 BWBRZ!!

Close call for me. I completed checkout this morning successfully at HOB But chose a shipping address that was different than my billing address. Apparently they had a disclaimer that billing and shipping addresses have to match. Luckily they called me and asked it they could just ship to the billing address rather than just canceling the order. Phew!

Yeah, congrats to all who scored.:D I agree about not needing to drop four hundies on a knife right now when springtime offers so many other things to do and upgrade around the home. I find winter to be the time I fund the knife habit and warm weather the time to enjoy using them...ymmv.

I did the same thing forgot to check the policy box, but when I went back a second later to do it they were all gone, luckily for me I had the Going Gear window open at the same time hit the order button over there and was able to get one from them. Success can be so close to failure sometimes. Happy now, I just got my shipping e-mail notice

I got an automated email from BladeHQ. They told me I had an item in my cart and that I should complete my order. Believe me I tried several hours prior at noon. I tried again anyway knowing the futility. Maybe it was House of Blades.
 
Congrats to those who scored one! I was at work and couldn't participate, but I like my 0392BLU better anyway. I am going to make sure to get a chance to score one the next time they do a run (assuming they do).

That's not entirely true. There were retail customers that were permitted to buy the knives at 9:00 PST. That was the case with the original ZT0392 also.

The ZT0392BWBRZ was also released internationally, so there are people who already have it over there. I doubt that they are selling them on eBay however.
 
total impulse buy today…Can't believe I scored one.

Hoping it will be good trade fodder. I don't even want it.
 
I put my order through at 9:00:30 with out any problems and got an email saying I didn't make the cut. Are the dealers just picking and choosing who gets them?

- Most likely they were going by time stamp and eliminating any orders that didn't meet their requirements (International, multiple orders, different shipping addresses, etc.).
 
Unfortunately I was not successful and I'm not sure how I could have been any faster. I had all 4 sites open and was only able to open an order opportunity on Blade HQ and KnifeCenter. Blade HQ sold out in less than 30 seconds. I managed to order one on KnifeCenter and actually received a confirmation only to have my order cancelled later. I'm not sure why KnifeCenter accepted more orders than they had knives. If I do this again I'll concentrate on a different vendor. Needless to say I was a bit bummed. Pretty discouraging. It would be really nice if ZT would offer enough knives to satisfy at least 2 minutes of demand. I think I'm done with this insanity and I'm certainly not paying the flipper prices that are already showing up.
 
Knifecenter is the only store that seems to do pre-orders in their system. Since with this knife they will not be able to fill back orders, it looks like they just canceled the pre-orders they could not fill. I had done a pre-order with them for another knife earlier this year, I thought it might take a few weeks, so when I saw that the knife was starting to ship I called for an update and found out, that at that point they only received enough knives to fill pre-orders from 8 months prior and they were still lots of people still waiting. I canceled bought it else where for a few dollars more.
