zero tolerance 0770 only with carbon fiber scales?

I watched a blade show 2013 video by bladehq and I believe that they said the 0770 would only be made with carbon fiber scales.

Did I misunderstand, or will I never get one with aluminum scales?
 
I am confused also because I swear I read that both the aluminum and carbon-fiber were going to be released.
Conflicting reports...

I am unsure where you guys seen that but we covered it in our very own 2013 blade thread as well as a few other places in this subforum. CF is the only one they are producing.
 
By all indications and announcements thus far, the regular production ZT 0770CF with Carbon Fiber scales and nice pivot screw replaces the previously announced but not produced 0770 with aluminum scales and the MSRP was raised from $180 to $225.
 
I pre-ordered when it was first announced. Since then my pre-order has been updated by the company to reflect the new pricing. Hope that helps.
 
I preordered a ZT0770 form Blade HQ back when it was still aluminum. I asked them that very same question.

I just spoke to some of my guys here and they all said that its only going to be made in the Carbon Fiber. No aluminum knives will be made. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

This was something I was curious about as well. Good thing I didn't have to dig through the 21 Pages of Blade 2013 thread, which is buried four pages deep in this subforum to find out...

Honestly don't expect others to do your work for you. I just searched (with the search function) and it took me all of 3 minutes to find the page. Why the attitude, we gave you the answer? I never said go find it yourself, I kindly pointed it out. This kind of post is why we have the rules we have here now. Attitudes are not welcome. Check the stickies, and have a conversation with a mod., I am sure they will be able to point it out for you. Thanks.

What attitude? It wasn't meant as a rude comment. I was just saying that I don't read everything here, and therefore I didn't know that you wrote about it in your very own blade 2013 thread.

Yes, carbon fiber only, no aluminum at all. I had pre-ordered when it was still planned as aluminum. I just got a call from the dealer letting me know of the material and cost change. Street price (obviously) went up accordingly with the material changes and MSRP increase. Unfortunately, it increased the cost outside the range where I was still willing to buy it. Disappointed, as I really liked it even in aluminum. Liked it even more in carbon fiber. But not more enough.

There are several places taking pre-orders, and as you can see, one just had a slot open. :(
