zero tolerance 0770 only with carbon fiber scales?

Awesome ain't the half of it, EZ Bake. The 0770CF can't get here soon enough to suit me. As far as weight is concerned, it's certainly a featherweight by ZT standards. But compared to some of the knives I carry including three William Henrys (all under 2 ounces), a CF Small Sebenza (2.3 ounces), and a CRKT Large Eros (1.4 ounces), it's more like a lightweight at 3.0 ounces. For the sake of comparison, the Benchmade Mini-Griptilian weighs 2.67 ounces and the Spyderco Sage 1 weighs 3.2 ounces.

In my opinion, the mini Griptilian has hollow plastic handles and is kind of an unfair comparison. Regardless of comparisons, I think the 0770 will make a great everyday carry - maybe it will finally bump the Knockout out of my pocket. I keep trying other things and it keeps creeping back in. :)

Just out of curiosity, which William Henry models are you referring to? Most of their knives have metal bolsters and I'd be surprised if many of them were under 2 ounces.

For small and light EDC I carry the CRKT Large Eros, CRK Small Sebenza and Kershaw Leek CB. The Large Eros is amazing!

There are at least a couple of William Henry manual folders that weigh 2 ounces or less: Titan II Manual Knife (PLN ZDP) B09 FT II and B10 Lancet Folding Knife B10-ID I.W./Dam.

Personally, weight for me is not as much of a factor as having a 3-3.25" blade and above all slimness.

I have a B12 Terrain and the specs say it weighs 1.2 ounces. I also have an E-10 that they say weighs 1.6 ounces.

I can throw them on my scale if you'd like but you would be amazed at how slim and thin they are. They are also incredibly small with the E10 being the only model over 3 inches in blade length.

Imagine a Skyline with aluminum or titanium scales, no liner, thinner blade stock and a button lock.

All of William Henry's EDC series knives weigh under 2 ounces (E6, E10). The E10 has a total length of 7-3/4" and weighs 1.6 ounces. Many of their premium series knives are also featherweights. For example, my B7-FT Westcliff with a 3" blade and a 4" handle weighs 1.75 ounces and my B30-TIZ GenTac with the same blade length and handle length weighs 1.9 ounces. William Henry (well, Matt Connable actually) makes superb knives with high to unbelievably high ($10,000+) price tags. I consider WH to be the finest manufacturer of gentlemen's knives on the planet.

EDIT: Good one, RamZar and Scurvy092. You beat me to it. :) And yes, RamZar, I'm a big fan of the Large CRKT Eros too.

I grabbed this pic of my E10 to show how it stacks up to the Skyline. As I figured, they are actually very similar in size.
