At this point in my knife collecting, I'm not really looking for A/O knives as they don't appeal to me, but I understand the decision to use them in a wider variety of knives. I know the quality and F&F is always there and present, but a manual knife feels like a higher quality piece than an A/O knife, to me.
But what if you bought a Ken onion custom?
Technically the speedsafe was only featured on a high end custom at first, i like to think of assisted opening as a step up from a bearing system
I think you're in the minority with that one.But what if you bought a Ken onion custom?

The Dimension has full Ti scales and costs what? $70?Because high end components come on high end knives?

Bearings were first used in customs too. Just saying.
What's the blade steel on that again?

Why can't there be more hot introductions in high-end steels and scales costing less than $180?
Well said, glad your still here to input your industry knowledge, always love reading the posts of whoever is drivig the KAI mobileIf you don't mind me answering Mr hank rearden, IMO it's because you don't sell any more quantity at $180 vs.say $350. If you're putting forth the effort, best to max out the time. As far as work, it's pretty much a wash at either price point, thus the limited selections at the "lower" price point.
