Excuse me please, I do not want to offend anybody.
You're a good designer, very good, you get the right knives. I'm just waiting on the ZT of something better. Wanted to be better, but it turned out as always) If not a crisis, it could be much better. What I was very surprised that this forum is well-known people, designers, engineers, owners of companies. Thank you.

nyet problem. dumayu shto RJ ponyal. :)

Nice blades, very nice... As I like the recurve cutting capability of those previously made knives, i'll need to re-think about that. I realy like this new 170. I always appreciate to see a custom design in a production line. Would'nt like to bring an expensive custom to the field?

Do we know yet anything about the sheath system? versatility, molle, nylon, straps???
Nice sheath for a nice blade!!!

I found them here.

I think they look DIFFERENT form the original ZT's but I'm interested in them for sure.

How thick is the liner lock on the knife in the center? it looks thick, :D I'm not complaining or nothing.

Remember the blade is about 3" long, probably not too thick. I would expect the liner to be the same as in the 0200/0350.
Of course, if it is thicker I won't complain.

The tanto does look like it would make a good heavy use knife. I think for myself as far as the Talon goes I'll stick with the Kershaw version. I'm perfectly happy with 14C.

And about the sheath ?!?

I am not impressed in the least with two of those three designs except that one in the middle, which I will buy because a good hard use tanto is worth a million bucks. That knife knocked it out of the ballpark, is it a Galyean design, what are the materials, designation and measurements unofficially?

RJ Martin, your design is awesome...whats up with that fixed blade...Why the choice in blade steel instead of say S35V or S30V?

These new designs look very promising. I have been carrying your knives for awhile now, and they are every bit as well made as some of my issued steel (Strider). Unfortunately, I often end up giving one of the ZT knives to my less prepared co workers! So I will be buying one or two of your new folders when they become available. Thanks for making these knives.

This is awesome news! Looking to get some more ZT's! Maybe I should pick up a MUDD while they're still available...

Nevermind. That's the 0750, and I, for one, plan to get one as soon as they're available. It's about time for another super-tough hawkbill on the market!

It looks like a reproduction of the old Talon model, which is more of a pakal style knife (edge inwards blade) than a regular hawk bill. Similar to Spyderco's P'kal model.

The 700 looks great! Strong tanto blade with no serrations and a stone wash finish with a retail of $120? Sign me up!

May I ask why the 0500 is getting discontinued, though? It seems to have received some great feedback from what I've read.

I REALLY like the 170, but I also really hope the final specs put the blade at or just under 5.5", as that's my legal carry limit, but even if not, I'll probably still get one. I love those Sandvik steels, and Mr. Martin's designs.

No, just the 0500.

Aww, come on! Take the 0400, but not the MUDD :grumpy: Hardly anyone uses the 0400 anyways and the MUDD is a legend in it's own right. It's what makes ZT so awesome. A pivot that can't get dirty, G10 over aluminum, and a deep carry clip - it's one of my favorites from ZT and great on the wallet to boot
