Hello BF,

I just saw benchmades 2017 new releases and I was excited for a few of them. Specifically the 560 and 5700. So, I am wondering when does the Zero Tolerance 2017 line up become available for viewing?

They reveal their new products at the SHOT Show later this month.

The 2017 ZT Catalog will probably be released as usual during the upcoming SHOT Show on January 17–20, 2017 in Las Vegas.

I'm hoping for a lot of new ZT production models including fixed blades.

Last year ZT had 6 new production models but two of them were slight (scales, colors) variations on past models (0095BW and 0450CF) so they really only had 4 brand new models.

  1. 0095BW
  2. 0220
  3. 0450CF
  4. 0456
  5. 0804CF
  6. 0909

In 2016 they also discontinued the 0801 series, 0620 series and 0180 fixed blade.

More than anything else I'd like to see a small manual KVT flipper with titanium frame lock and a 3" blade like a Hinderer XM-18 3".

I would like to see a ZT Emerson but done skinnier. I think G10 and carbon fibre are strong enough that they could make this blade without the steel liner opposite the lock. Infact I always kind of get bummed out that they put a stainless steel liner on so many models when I think it's totally unnecessary. I look at my titanium frame lock and am like "damn half this knife is steel!" Just cheapens the feel of the knife over all.

How about a good looking, strong knife with beefy smooth washers with a good cutting geometry? Please stop putting bearings and flippers on every single little knife you make ZT. Make knives for the toy collectors and for the people who supported your products when you made tough working knives.

I too have had enough of the bearing craze. And I keep buying flippers but always sell them since they see no use.

They could make 0770 without assist, without bearings, with ti handle...beadblasted ti, 10% bigger.

Yes. Bring back the bayonet.

Word. That m9 they made was awesome. I personally would like a m7 to put on the 590.
And as for emerson designs, i really liked the 0620. I would like to see a take on the commander.

Or see them do something with the Rexford Entropy. I find that knife so completely beautiful, but its stuck in kershaw purgatory right now. If ZT would make that a little bigger, better steel, etc.. it would make my 2017.
