Zero Tolerance and their heat treat on steel....Newb here!!!

Saying stuff like this is dangerous, especially around the holidays! Do you really want people jumping off bridges with a sack full of Millie’s tied around their necks? The whole cpm process?
If everybody doesn't know already, ignore him. He has zero idea what he is talking about.

I am new to BladeForums and to the Dendra knives. Looks like I'm a little late getting into the ring as all of these posts are years old. These blades look to be perfect and hit all points for what I like. Budget will slow me down on purchases but would love to have all four Deer Hunter, Typhoon, Defender and Tiger. Now that folks have had a couple years with them, any thoughts on Deer Hunter vs Typhoon would be helpful. Thank you!

I've had a lot of ZT knives. Their S30V is great, no complaints with it. Their M390/20CV/204P are all right where you expect them to be for performance. Their Elmax has been great for me, just a hair below M390 for edge retention. Their S35VN is my least favorite because they seem to run it a hair soft, so there's very minor but noticeable reduction in performance compared to S30V or S35VN from other companies.

The only real issue I have with ZT is that their grinds are generally a lot less aggressive than they should be for a pocket knife, so the stock is kinda thick and the behind the edge thickness leaves something to be desired, but they cater more to the hard use market. It's not like they are grinding like a Medford, so it's just a minor complaint.

Dendra knives are made by lionsteel of Italy. I am sure they are fine.
They may look like ZT but they are not. ZT is owned by Kershaw (KAI)
and is USA production. I hope this helps you!

Also...welcome to the forum!
