Zero Tolerance Current/Upcoming/Discontinued Models

One of the vendors just posted that some zt's are on closeouts pricing atm.

Also here's the two new knives side by side

Nooo not the 0920.

I had a feeling it was a slow seller though when I got mine as the SN was very low compared to my 609 which had been out for a much shorter time.

Yeah same with the 0850, I picked one up this year (thankfully for a discount) and the serial # was in the ~3000 range.

My 920 was #475 and I just picked it up a few months ago from Kershaw guy.

We'll see how low the prices get I guess, maybe I'll pick up a 2nd and put it away forever so I don't feel bad using mine.

Although I've been making efforts to eliminate this OCD behavior and sell off my dupes lately. The 920 is a great knife though and the thought of never again having the ability to get one will probably win out.

I really like it but the styling is pretty subjective. My only complaint is a weak detent. Doesn't cause any issues with normal deployment, but it's soft enough that a flick of the wrist will open the knife.

I'm not usually one for recurves but once I got it in hand I was in love.

I love full Titanium though. I'll take it over a G10/CF "show" scale all day every day.

So do I now buy the 0850 with the discount?

TELL ME WHAT TO DO.

Buy it. Don’t think, buy it.

The design is polarizing (understatement). If you’re one of the folks on the fence (i.e. not turned off by it) or that kinda like it, it’s a great piece at a phenominal price.

I’ll echo P Peacedivision about the detent; it’s a crisp deployment and the detent is definately strong enough to keep it closed in pocket. But the blade is heavy and a stout shake will get it to open.

I love mine. Helluva knife for low-mid $200’s.

That 456 is calling my name. Always loved the knife but did not like the blue hardware nor the 6.5oz weight. Now this is 4.9oz and no blue. Gonna have to get it before they are gone.

Does the knife have a neutral balance? I hate when a folder is blade-heavy.
Decently thin behind the edge?

I don’t have it in hand, but IIRC the 0850 balance is forward of the pivot and that BY ZT STANDARDS it’s relatively thin behind the edge.

Maybe someone else can chime in too.

Tempted to buy the 0920 with the lowered price, but really tempted to buy two 0456cf’s. Wasn’t a fan of the original or the black wash sprint or the weight but the cf version is gorgeous and at 4.9oz lighter than a lot of my other ZTs.

Balance seems to be just behind the pivot, sort of in line between the pivot and lock interface. The back spacer is a pretty good counterweight for the blade.

Its probably the thickest behind the edgr zt I own. The blade is also very heavy.

They go for sale in the marketplace for cheap. They arnt worth more than 240ish. But they are okay at that price. They needed to ditch the gun cues.
