Nothing bad taken. Actually, 3rd year Computer Engineer studying integration techniques and differential equations. Including the Fourier spectral analysis of signals, and of Laplace transforms. Calculus means im studying mathematical change... that can really apply to a vast array of things.
I majored in Computer Engineering before switching to Computer Science. I've probably taken most of the classes you have. I wish I had the time to worry about useless $h!t like this when I was in school. I'd love to say more of what I'm thinking. I hardly spend any time here any more but I don't want to be banned just yet. I assume I'm the Kyle that Chester referred to because he knows how I feel about knife flippers because even though I consider him a friend I've had some choice words for him at times when he's flipped some knives. You, as as a complete stranger who shows up just to poke bee hive with a stick for your own entertainment, need to be stung.

Quoted for truth.

I wasn't looking for an argument. I was angry about my findings, was educated I was wrong... and then joked about it. It was a genuine point I was raising.

Inb4 the move. This is starting to really get off- topic.

I have just purchased the 0560CBCF, and am extremely happy with it. Everyone in the fine knife community, has been lead to believe that this line of limited editions, is only for 1000 pieces. This line is gone well past 1000 pieces. Just walked to S&R Knives in Toronto Ontario, and got a #0819. But they had some on the shelf that went too #1398!!! I am so disappointed in Zero Tolerance. I mean, when Spyderco discontinues a knife, it is definitely, absolutely, discontinued. They say it will happen, and it dose. This shows an large amount of respect to the consumers and collectors of the knives they love and collect. However, Zero is jumping well over the line with this.... they said 1000, and are making more. Very disrespectful to the collectors, that knew there would be 1000. This leaves me to wounder, if my 0350 Orange was a true 1 of 1000 piece production... or if there were more. I am a big supporter of Spyderco and Benchmade because of their dedication to the people who but the knives (especially limited and sprint runs). Buying a 0560CBCF and seeing the addition of "extra" pieces to a limited production run that I spent $400 on, has made me second guess my beliefs in ZT. Great products.. but I hate to see morals and greed take a company. Could you Imagen Spyderco announced a sprint run, sold all the pieces, and then 6 months later re-launched the sprint run. Whats the difference here?

Ill be honest. I'm bored studying calculus, and am just looking for an argument

Jigsaw, I sounds like you got your answer, but this is my official word on this manner. Whenever we make a run of ANY knife, there is some fallout. A few parts are defective, a laser etched logo is crooked, a sharpener slips, an assembler scratches a coated blade. There is always a percentage that are blemished and therefore "fall out" of the run. Because Of this, when we plan on making 1000 knives, we generally make enough parts for around 1200-1500 depending on the complexity of the build (these numbers are not gospel, just estimates). I don't currently have an exact count of how many we produced of this particular knife, but it is most likely under 1000 pieces. It could be that we got lucky and more than 1000 pieces passed inspection. In my opinion, if we made a few extra, great! A few more customers got their hands on a hotly anticipated knife. They'll still be limited and collectible either way. I don't foresee too many people sending their 0560CBCF back because we made a few extra.

On a more serious note, don't come into this forum again and purposely try to start an argument. You may think it's funny, but I don't. We have enough arguments between passionate collectors that occur naturally and I really don't need anyone stirring up trouble artificially. If you've got a problem with is feel free to email or PM me, but otherwise I consider this conversation finished.

Thanks,

Jim
