I picked out a ZT 0301 for my girl to get for me, but the place she ordered from said they were out of stock. she called to see how long it was going to be, and she was told that the factory was also back ordered, and that their orders wouldn't be taken until the beginning of January. how long does this usually take? do i have any chance of getting my knife in January or am i in for a long wait?

Yeah... I'd look around a bit more. I was able to find more than a couple of them available for sale online.
 
i was thinking about sticking out the wait because it was 195, versus the 235 everywhere else seems to have it listed
 
Just sent you a link via email to a place that has them in stock and sells below MAAP (with a coupon code). Good luck finding your knife!

Correct, but they will still send you replacement parts like screws, clips, etc. The knife is extremely tough. It would be difficult to damage it badly enough to have to send in for repair IMO. But that is only my opinion. If the money and wait are not an issue then go for it :thumbup:.
