Zero Tolerance ZT 0801BRZ

Lucky that yours arrived and the colors are not funky! Mine is stuck in USPS Twilight Zone with no activity since it was shipped on Friday although it's at a USPS location.

These ZT/Rexford 0801 series have been well received with quite a few models:

I'm in DC and Knifecenter is pretty close by, so their packages reach me quickly. I do have one complaint about my 0801BRZ - the action feels a bit gritty when I close it. It's not the pivot, it's the friction between the lockbar detente and the tang - feels like the surface is a little uneven. Not a problem functionally - it still opens with authority, but just detracts from the feeling of engineering perfection.

It's still my favourite - I like the aesthetics and steel, and the chamferring and cut outs make the handle just noticeably lighter than other 0801s and the balance just a little better. My others are 2 regular 0801s (one custom anodized), a blackwash, and a s110v version (with the hardware bead-blasted for an all dull metal finish.

I was comparing it last night to my bronze-ano Ferrum Forge Archbishop. The FF is more compact for the same blade length and just exudes more quality, but for half the price, the 0801BRZ is pretty good.

Do we have a count of how many were made? and is this it, and do you think people are going to be trying to grab the premium after market price of the CFs?

there is only one on the big auction site so far. Actually, it sold for $320, and pretty quickly.

The CFs go for around $400-$500. But those were retail $320 and $385 for the CF and BRWCF, respectively.

Guess time will tell on these, I know of at least 5 sites that had these, my guess is they made 300, but who knows

I'm guessing they made more than 300 because I have # 0303.

I'll chime in with my number when I get it here

Mine is #0527, but it has been long established that the serial numbers do not run sequentially because not every piece from a run is released. If you go into the Kershaw forum archive, I'm sure you can find Thomas explaining it more than a few times.

As for the knife itself, it's really good. Pretty much exactly what I had expected.

Mine is coming Saturday and I'm working overtime all day won't be able to mess with it until I get home at like 7pm it's killing me hahah

It's a real nice one! The bronze color varies depending on how much light hits the angles and finger smudges. The action is a little stiff but it's new.

Indeed, the detent on mine is really, exceptionally strong. Hoping it breaks in ever so slightly because it is definitely a little stiff.
