Ban, that is the illest loooking AK I've seen. Fantastic work. Now I'd like to see what you can do with the SAR5's...
 
Very nice work as usual Ban.

Just watched a program on Samurai Swords, a guy took 11 days to polish and sharpen the blade by hand. That wasn't you on holiday in Japan was it?

I got to see this one up close and personal. Ohhhh man, this bad boy is freaking insane. It's like a razor, and the convex is very cool. Much like a SJTAC. Ban was still working on it when I got to hold it so it didn't have the slabs on but it still felt wicked in the hand!! :cool:

I was just comparing it to my stock AK47. The stock one is balance exactly at the front of the choil. This zombie slayer is balanced right in the middle rear of the choil. Not much difference at all in my opinion.

I also mic'd and weighted them on a postal scale and found out something interesting. The Stock AK47 was actually a tad lighter than the modified one :eek: The weight difference most likely came from those large G10 handles.

Modified G10 AK47 1lb 14.9oz .185 thick

Stock AK47 1lb 14.5oz .200 thick with coating

Thanks, I have been trying to avoid temptation. I think I am going to fold and buy a couple SARs.

My Ban custom collection is the AK, the EU-17 Mag, an SS4, the Bandaid, two or three more in line for mods and I might be forgetting one.

Ban has a knack for giving people exactly what they want or even better. Every one of mine has turned out beautiful.
 
You and Hogwash be careful with that thing during your tests. Swords are dangerous. That thing could remove digits pretty easily. I like both you guys
and don't want you to get nicked named "stumpyHog". :D
