ZT 0300 TOO big?

It is too big for me, too large in my pocket

Same here. The 300 series is a sweet knife, but 8 ounces for a 3.75" blade (albeit a very stout one) is not a good tradeoff for me. Awesome knife, flips open like a breeze, but too big and heavy for me to comfortably carry day after day.

So definitely hearing that most find it's an awesome knife. You've sold me on it. I just don't know anywhere in Western NC that carries ZT knives

I have the 301 which is also big to big to EDC I would rather carry my small Sebenza or my large Sebenza micarta when it finally gets here this week.

I don't have a 300 series ZT, but I have a 200, a 350 and a 560. They are all substantial knives for EDC. Both the 200 and the 560 are ALMOST too bulky to EDC in the front pocket of jeans. The weight isn't an issue, it's the bulk. When I EDC either of these two knives while wearing jeans, I always have to remove the knife to get my hand into my pocket. I'd say that with 95% of my folders I can get my hand into the pocket without having to pull out the knife.

Pretty much this I carry the zt 0561 and it doesn't bother me at all but with any other knife I have my cell phone in the same pocket with the 0561 I can't comfortably do that. I either have to take the 0561 out first or wrestling my phone out

I'll be in the minority here I guess, but that thing is a tank. It's a nice tank, don't get me wrong, but it's too heavy for comfortable carry, IMO.

It weighs enough that I could just about carry both a 3.9" BM 710 and a 3.46" Spyderco Brad Southard for the same weight.

And the zt0300 would crush them both with it's weighty awesomeness...

;):D

Sounds good to go to me. I mostly carry in my back pocket so I don't think I'll have a problem with it getting in the way of everything

If that's the case then yeah go ahead and grab it great knife
I'll also suggest you try and get it through the kershawguy usually he has good deals on kershaw n zt knives my 0561 actually came from him I ordered a blem @ 175$ and the 4 small xs to mark blems aren't there and absolutely no flaws on the blade

I have both a 300 and a 350 and I got to say I like the 300 better. Fits my hands perfect and is really not that much bigger than the 350. Hate to so it tho but it loose pocket time to my SMF that is about the dame size.

I like ZT's a lot; I've had five or six in various models. The 0300 is certainly heavy-duty, but I also own Strider SMF and Spydie TUFF. These last two are quite a bit lighter than the 0300, but about the same closed length and blade-size. The TUFF stands out a bit due to its CPM3V blade-steel, which has an outstanding reputation for toughness as well as holding a good edge. I don't feel the need to pick a winner here, but I do enjoy good blade-steels and I know the 3V will take a lickin' and come back for more. They're all good; nice we have so many choices.

Awesome info guys. Ill definitely visit kershawguy when it comes time to buy one. Need to sell a few of my Benchmade's before I'm able to buy though. The good ole give and take of new purchases

Put them in your back pocket...

I have a 0300 and edc is often. I don't have a preference of weight unless I am bicycling than I will lean on lightweight gear.

My (modded) ZT was made Jan-09, and is one of the first thousand made. I've EDCed it since I got it, and carry it to work everyday. f
