Well gents i got a little more info on the matter. I was in contact with someone from skd. He said that the good news is they got a verbal commitment to accept their order for the 360's at a trade show earlier in the year. He went on to say the bad news is they have not heard back anything since. He said they will keep chipping away at them(meaning kai) went on to say sorry we don't have better news.

What i got from this is they got the verbal at a show but which one i don't know, I believe they have been intermitently contacting them about the order. Sounds like they are legitimetly trying to get this deal done, he did say they have been answering many emails about the 0360. I gave him some more info and told him we would try and do our part here on bladeforums.


Just got this back: To date I have 3 emails and a voice message to our rep at ZT, we have nary a peep in return.

Well huh, at least it sounds like there will be a future run probably. Speaking Of which, it amazes me that no one from kershaw has commented in here with any news from their side.
 
That also amazes me,it's not like i didn't ask! Maybe i forgot to say PLEASE!?:D

I asked a few more questions but I haven't heard back yet.
 
It's crazy. Sounds like they had an order awhile ago 2010, and it was put on hold. Then in 2011 thomas said there was going to be a run later in 2011 of which nothing came. Now they say they had a verbal commitment earlier this year for the order, but since then no one from Kai has gotten back intouch with them. This poor knife can't catch a break! Please, pleas, pleas someone from kai/kershaw get intouch with the good ol boys at SKD! They have been left in the dark.
 
If SKD says they been talking to a rep and are getting no reply then they should skip the rep. Tell them to email Jennifer Newsome. And tell them the unicorn and rainbow 0360 need to have a limited run also!
 
I wonder if we could do a "fire mission," where a those interested get together a petition and shoot it over to Thomas or someone else at KAI/ZT. I'd be willing to put together a bit of effort to help pull this off, if I was able to insure that I got one from the next run. Maybe they could do a BF.com run or something... ;)

Having dealt with SKD before, they're top notch people, a real classy bunch. Hopefully we can collaborate with them to make this happen this year!
 
We could set up a poll here on the forums to see how many people are interested and maybe get some numbers behind us that way to send to kai

I informed him of a few people to contact. It seems part of the problem is that the original deal was struck with someone who is no longer there. He said he was going to try and contact the rep who gave him the verbal commitment today.
I was actually going to ask if anyone wanted to start a poll on here for us. Looks like cman and basher basher beat me to this. I think this is the best way to get their attention. Once we get this going and get a few numbers, we can email this to Thomas and see if there is anything we can do to get this thing done.
 
I am very interested, although Thomas is still on his "super extra long hiatus " from the forums. I am not sure he will be stopping in anytime soon. I really would love to see a run of these go through.

SKD talked to Jen. While we still have a bit to go we do have a firm PO and a forecast in to the factory for Feb. 2013 on the 0360.SKD. You're welcome ;0)
