Everything about ZT is a joke:barf:

What exactly are your damages? Why do you think they owe you anything? I am just wondering this due to your rabid tantrum here.

Too many participation trophies as a young one? Not everyone wins in the real world, sparky....

Zero Tolerance is trying to find a way to sell their LE's in a better fashion and so far no luck. In the meanwhile they don't owe you anything. They put a product up for sale that is extremely limited compared to the number of people trying to buy one. You didn't get one, so what?? They don't owe you a knife, they don't owe you an explanation, they don't owe you jack squat.

i started this thread for ZT enthusiast. Im sorry to those who didnt get a knife, but lets not turn this into an uncivilized attack of each other. ZT's system may be frustrating but I will say the current one has improved compared to the past.

Russians whine less. It's a fact.

Hi Anaries -

I do want American knife makers to succeed, all of them. I don't like it when people tramp around, calling a company and it's employees cowards, or out-of-hand proclamations that the employees are "cowards" or worse (you should see the emails these poor customer service representatives receive from "customers"...) -

It does not matter if it is ZT, Kershaw, Spyderco, Becker, Benchmade, GEC, Canal Street, Queen....or even overseas makers. I love knives, I appreciate people who make fine cutlery and I don't appreciate people who have an entitlement mentality; who feel that the world owes them something, that they are somehow special amongst the millions of us who also yearn to own special knives.

Oh that we could all just enjoy the wonderful knives that are available.

Technology and metallurgy have made available to us knives that were unthinkable in the past, yet there are the vocal few that not only do not appreciate the wonders that we have today, but will stomp around and throw infantile tantrums when something does not go their way.

I suppose that will never change, we will always have the few vs the masses, and I enjoy healthy discourse with the masses who make up the membership of this forum.

Is that your take on it? Interesting. It is normal to not be happy if you lose, but it is not normal to be threatening and calling people names when you don't get your way.

It is now appearing through some simple deduction and a little web investigation that the largest whiner in this thread appears to have tried to buy two copies of this knife, clearly against the rules, and then when ZT found out about this person's buying two (against the rules), ZT refunded his money.

The person appears to have had two ebay auctions placed, which he later removed the auctions since ZT canceled his orders and he no longer had two knives to flip.

Of course this all could be a simple coincidence with two Lukes involved in the same LE sale.....

I guess you can mark this one up as a win for the Rabid Fanboys, of which I am proud to be one.

After the ZT sale I started saving the BRNGLD's that went up on eBay to track how many and at what prices they were selling for.

I had two of them saved from "lukemeetze" and now those have changed to the name "nmstigers".

Kind of odd that the seller changed their name and really odd that a member here got their order cancelled for order in two.

So much coincidence ??

Maybe the Luke here can clarify??

ZT is going to honor my attempt at buying a BRNGLD on Tuesday. Since my order failed during checkout and I documented the failure, they're going to sell me one of the extra knives they have.

They are going to give me a ring on Monday and take down my order information. So I'm pretty stoked!

I've never found throwing a tantrum with customer service to be an effective strategy for resolving problems. I worked a brief stint in tech support for a cable company as the ROC ramped up. If a customer was a jerk, they were politely taken care of and given nothing extra. If they were a customer we wanted to keep I went out of my way to make sure we gave them a little extra and followed up to be sure everything was still resolved. A good company bends over backwards to help the customer when something out of their control comes up. It sounds like KAI has done this in the past and intends to continue that practice for customers that aren't unreasonable.

If people were caught trying to flip knives, I don't think that has any grounds on which to complain. For those that legitimately had problems, I'm sure having some patience and asking for clarification with a polite email and phone call would take care of everything. KAI needs to run a business and can't focus just on you, but I'm sure will handle things in what a reasonable person would find to be a reasonable amount of time.

I know I've also had days where I've gone off my rocker and said things I regretted later (some to poolhustler). Apologies when you've cooled down usually go a long ways. If you run to social media to stir things up further, you're not going to get very far. It is all about being mature. You live. You learn. You try to do better next time. Sometimes it takes a little perspective. We all have our good days and bad, and KAI's employees are only human as are we. The treatment you get in this life often depends on how you treat others. Life isn't always fair, but taking things in stride and being kind to others always pays off in the long run.

I guess what I'm saying is, don't let the virtual anonymity of the internet, or the failure to realize a company is composed of people trying their best, lead you in to being a complete jerk. It sounds like some people have been jerks and are finding they aren't so anonymous after all. Regardless, take some deep breaths and everything will be okay if you let it be.

You forgot the habitual haters!

I'm a fan of ZT but not "rabid"! Perhaps I was inoculated in my youth. :)

I'm also a fan of many many other knives.

Looks like luke won't be reselling any lmited zt knives in the future.

Have we reached the place in thread evolution where we all hold hands and sing Kumbaya?

I would like to thank most of the awesome, contributing BF member's here in this thread. This was such an enjoyable read for a nice relaxing stay indoor Saturday (due to weather). It's funny- the attention seeking trolls here, always seem to appear when a manufactured related knife discussion comes up; one that doesn't have to do with THEIR favorite knife brand/maker.

FWIW: It's pretty sad, when something as simple as an inanimate object (in this case a freaking knife), can bring out such intense anger, & rudeness in some people. Some people here (children maybe?), really need to take a time out for a reality check, every once in awhile.

Thanks again BF Member's, for the entertaining read.

BTW- any news, of a possible release date, on the next L.E. ZT release (their amazing looking Wharnie edition)?

Thanks!
