ZT 0551 Serial 0126 - Gone Missing!

I know some people still keep buying Emerson knives even though its often got some detent complaint because of the awesomeness of Mr.Emerson himself.

Now its time of Kershaw/ZT and Mr.Thomas W.

You could lock it inside like people do when they check a gun. Locked case cable locked to the frame of the suit case.

Good idea. I just really really would hate to lose this one.

Oops, I just noticed my typo in the photo. It should read Beyond, not "Beyound" . I'm glad that Kershaws QC is better than mine. :-)

I believe that donating that new knife to our military-guy is a class-act. I have a 0550 which is very nice.

Thomas W. ....you have just performed one of the nicest P.R. ideas that I've seen in a long time. You and your company have impressed us once again.

WELL! I was thinking about buying one or ten more Kershaws and/or ZT's.... this thread seals the deal. :D

Thomas, I had you wrong. Sorry for any negatives said in the past.

I really will be looking at Kershaw.

Any models with a thumb hole and no liner lock by chance?

There are plenty of frame-locks in the Kershaw/ZT line-up. And a couple other locks that I'm not really familiar with. They are much more than just a liner-lock company.

This is why ZT/Kershaw has brought me back as a customer. Just recently picked up this ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340835617.113223.jpg
And am soon to pick up a 0550.

Great story of a very supportive community. :D

Thomas, this is a great gesture. I'm sure the Marine would love your gift. Talk about getting a life-long customer. :)

I like your company's product for the quality and value behind it. The great personalities behind the products are just the icing on the cake.

Wow, that is awesome Thomas, you're amazing.
Kershaw is amazing.
And people are just amazing.

I'm so happy for your son!

Wow, now that is customer service! So awesome. I was searching around the forums for ZT experiences since I just bought my first ZT knife, 0550. Looks like I will definitely be buying more Kershaws and ZT in the near future!

@Thomas W, My wife just called me at work and said the package from Kershaw/ZT just arrived. Again,I do not have adequate words to express my gratitude for your gracious generosity.
I know my son will also be humbly thankful and will find the knife to be useful in his endeavors as a US Marine. It will be a reminder to us to "pay it forward". and extend grace and generosity to others.

You're very welcome DD. Hope it gives him a lifetime of service.

So awesome. You might want to have your son's name engraved on that blade. That's a very special knife!

I've considered engraving it with his name with theUSMC Eagle, Globe and Anchor (as I did for his brother's knife, when he graduated from Boot Camp), but the ELMAX is so hard, I'm afraid it might be difficult to get a good engraving, and that it might tear up the engravers equip. Also, as a limited edition knife, I imagine it would reduce the value (though I don't believe he would ever sell it).

Actually, I don't think it would reduce the value. That's a famous knife your son owns now!!! The hardness of Elmax is an issue. Wouldn't a laser be able to cut it?
