So among the 5000 things I'm wanting right now, I've narrowed it down to the knife I need. Only problem is I've never seen one in person haha.. obviously it's a badass looking knife but what I'm wondering is how does it fit the pocket? It will be carried all day everyday and being a fireman I'll be in some awkward positions throughout the day. Just wondering if this tank is going to be annoying/painful to edc?

The 560 is a fairly big knife, but carries surprisingly well. It was my EDC for a couple years before I started exploring other options. I personally like the deep carry clip, but some don't care for them.

Everyone is different. What's big for one guy is no problem for another. What are you used to carrying. If your normal EDC is a skyline your in for a rude awakening. On the other hand if your used to carrying a ZT 0200 your all set. All that said a 560 is a decent sized knife but one I have no problem edcing.

If you're already calling it a tank, you should probably choose something else...unless you don't mean that descriptor to be derogatory? Personally, I like the size of the 0560, and I usually have an 0200 in my pocket; so I don't find it awkward/uncomfortable...but that won't mean anything to a person that feels differently.

Right now I EDC a sog aegis. Never had a "high end" knife (the $300 0560 is high end for me) and I'm going to have to order it without ever getting my hands on one . So compared to something like that ? And am I going to be disappointed in the "toughness" ? I'm gonna put this knife through hell but not in a stupid abusive way just in a %100 will be used everyday for various things

I have never owned an Aegis but from what I can find it is about as big as an ESEE 3. Gimme a few minutes and I will take a pic of my 560 with my 3.

Here are the pics. One thing to note, I have non factory scales on the 3 which make is slightly longer than the original stock ones and the 560 has it beat in length. That said I have never had an issue carrying a larger folder myself. I threw a couple others in there as well so you could get an idea on a couple of other folders from ZT. I have carried the 0550 more than any other and it is probably my favorite blade but the 0562 is pretty close. Also, might I suggest taking a look at kershawguy.com. Dave is great to deal with and has some awesome prices on his ZT's.

When just guessing I'd say it's probably not too big for you to enjoy as an EDC. BUT....size and what is comfortable to carry every day is a very subjective thing. Case in point, I went to Recon 1 intending to buy an 0560 after doing all of the research I thought I needed to do on-line, but after holding and pocketing the 0560 and others, I bought the 0562CF instead. It just fit me better....and I like the blade grind better as well. I would not have realized that I preferred the 0562 if I didn't hold them both first.
So, if there's any possible way that you can hold the knife before you buy you should do so.
If not...the lucky thing is the 0560 is so nice that you're sure to love it...particularly if there are no other ZTs in the area for you to hold. The 0560 is likely to be nicer than any knife you see anyone carrying as you go through your daily life...you really can't go wrong.

Ah, I loved my 560. I EDC'd it daily for quite awhile, I never had a problem with the size. The pocket clip works great and the knife fits nicely in your pants. I did end up trading it away and mostly carry a 0392bwbrz now. However, I sometimes miss the extra size of the 560, it's just so badass feeling in the hand. I say go for it you won't regret getting it!

If your used to carrying the Military, the 560 may be too big!

Depends how tight you wear your turnouts. ;)
I've seen some pretty short firefighters and they look funny carrying the iPhone6+, looks like they have a legal pad clipped to their pants. If you are concerned about the size of the knife, get the 0566 problem solved.

I don't see the 560 as too big. I carried a 300 and that's big and heavy. I'm carrying the 452cf currently with it's longer blade. It makes it look like a steak knife for me.

I think its a bit big, i carried one for a couple months and while it wasnt too heavy, ur not gonna forget that beast is in your pocket. Also im a bit hesitant to wip something like that out in public. For my edc purposes, i like a knife i forget about until i need to use it and to not have to worry about people staring at me when i do.

Also its annoying to fit a phone or wallet in the same pocket, kinda becomes just a knife pocket.

I just looked up the specs for the Aegis: OAL 8.25", blade 3.5", weight 3.1 oz
now, just for giggles, compare the 0560: OAL 8.8", blade 3.75", weight 5.8 oz
The closed length will be less than 0.5 inches different, but the 0560 is a more substantial knife. It is a little larger in every aspect, and weighs nearly twice as much (though I don't consider it overly large or heavy - it is about 2 oz lighter than what I usually carry).
Be aware that, unlike the Sog Aegis, the 0560 is not assisted; nor does it open like an assisted knife. That doesn't mean that it is difficult to open; but if that action is important to you, there are better options. On the other hand, there is a benefit to being able to control the opening of your knife at times.
The Aegis uses AUS8, the 0560 is Elmax. Not really much comparison there - the AUS8, from what I remember is easily sharpened...but just as easily dulled and damaged. Elmax will take a little extra work when it is truly dull; but periodic (and quick) touch ups will help avoid that...and it's edge retention is better than that of AUS8.
I think the 0560 is a marked step up; but whether it is the right choice for you is still, ultimately, your call.

Good luck

I'm a fireman and I EDC'd an 0560 for a straight year after graduating the academy. It never felt too big and it never got in the way. I wear large size bunker gloves and it fit perfectly in my hand. The blade held an edge well through the tasks I put it through and the lock never failed on me. The only real criticism I have for the knife is that the G10 scale edges aren't radiused and can cause hot spots during prolonged forceful cutting. I softened the edge with high grit sandpaper and that fixed the problem. Overall, I say get it. You likely won't be disappointed
