ZT 0562 gap between G10 and stainless liner

I think it was the liner not being flat, not the G10. My first thought was a tiny grain of something (sand) got sandwiched during assembly causing the gap. But you said you could squeeze the gap closed so maybe not.

I think BladeHQ no longer selling the ones with Elmax either, I checked the comment section on their page and people are saying they are getting S35vn since April this year.

Well, I actually checked several dealers and they are all selling zt0562 (G10) with S35vn now, and this was the main reason why I purchased that one from Amazon since they still have some old stocks left. So is the Elmax a lot better than S35vn?

I only have one blade with elms but lots with s35vn. It's not that one is much different from the other, s35vn is just easier to source and is USA made. That is why they use it now.
