ZT 0562CF Video

While it was a great video I almost wished I had debt watched it. I had this knife in the back of my mind while I wait for the preorder to come in. NOW I am right back into guilty force pining away mode!

Thanks for the video though I am starting to like your knife videos more than I enjoy your paintball videos

Looks like an incredible knife, but I wish the review would have gone into the blade geometry -- how the slicer grind changes the profile of the blade and edge.

Great video.
It looks amazing, but I can also see that it is not for me.
I cancelled my Pre order that I put into BHQ back in Jan this year for the M390 version.
So you guys all get bumped up one spot! Your welcome.

I like the fit and finish and I love that pocket clip set up. I just don't like the look of the slicer grind. If they did a Spanto then it'll be tempting.

What exactly turned you off on the 0562? The flipping action or the blade (grind or two-tone) or lack of thumb studs or something else?

Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. I was hoping that I did the knife justice.

Kai still doesn't give out release dates, so I don't have any info as to when this will hit streets. I imagine sooner rather than later, only going by the fact that the sample was essentially perfect. Nothing to refine or adjust from what could see or experience.

My opinion is to just go ahead and buy the CF version. The MSRP is only $50 higher, and the CF scale makes lefty carry a dream. The M390 was great, I didn't even strop the thing and it ate a lot of material.

Good stuff, wicked impressive.

It was surprising that Rick Hinderer designed the 0562 for ZT so similar to the XM-18 3.5"! Compared to the XM-18, the 0562 with KVT will definitely flip better with similar quality and in the 0562CF you get premium CF scale and M390 for a street price of $240!

Hmm I really don't like that the thumbstuds are no longer thumbstuds. Wasn't the benefit in having them for dual purposes? I prefer to use the thumbstud to flick it open, and that may not be possible with the rounded "blade stops".
Now that the studs function has switched entirely they should just eliminate them for an internal stop pin or another new system for stopping the blade. Just my opinion.

I really really like what they've done with the pocket clip though, very slick.

I like everything about it except what appears to be very smooth/slippery handle slabs, I'm keeping my pre-order but I have a feeling as slippery as the handle looks it won't stay.

It still amazes me how many knife companies are making high end knives with slippery handle materials/surfaces, but the bulk of the market obviously loves it, which I have my own hypothesis on the reason behind.
