ZT 0562ti

Waiting on a USAMadeBlade mod.

They do nice work, and this knife just screams for it.

Whitty does nice work. Here's my favorite.

Probably not as the CF version is all I need, just can't justify another 0562 variation. Too many other knives I want out there.

I haven't looked but what is the weight difference between the CF and Titanium? I think my CF 0562 is heavy enough as is.....

I ordered one from USAMadeBlade. Will arrive Thursday. I already have an M390 0562CF with Midnight Sun Industries TI scale with full TI hardware and blue TI standoffs and did not hesitate to but this. I can't wait to get it.

I now own 20 ZTs. Not a big all Ti fan. Bought a used 0562 G10 which is good enough for me. Have many CF ZT's -- and a couple of Ti's -- the 0456 and 0900 -- and that's all I need.

It's kinda... Boring. Just a flat Ti scale with nothin' going on. I think they missed out on an obvious opportunity to give it a fresh new look like the 0801Ti, or 0801CF

Visually interesting milling really sets it apart.

This, though? This just smacks of lazy and uninspired design. Great for modders, I guess.

Funnily enough, there have been full Ti clone versions of the 0562 with full Ti scales as early as a couple years back, and they are more visually interesting than the grey brick above.

Completely agree! Wasted opportunity for ZT. But if they do it, the retail would perhaps go beyond $300.

Talking about custom mod like milling and anodizing, does that void the warranty?

Anodizing doesn’t, but I imagine that anything you do that changes the potential integrity of the handle is grounds for a voided warranty.

Yes there has. In more ways than one. Prying and light spine whacks.

I doubt they fixed the issue in the production line. But it doesn't seem to occur on every single knife.

bending the lockbar inward can help but not sure if it will completely eliminate the issue.

I sorta agree. The 0452ti has grooves machined on the edge of the handle which gave it a unique look. The 0562ti would have benefited from the same kind of treatment imo. It would have been nice for it to be the same price as the 0562cf or even a little cheaper.

And I agree with you - this one just is not selling itself to my like I feel it should. I should look at the price and materials and be pumped about it, but this seems like a side-grade that actually looks more drab that the base model... and yet costs more.

Seems like a great product for a niche subset of people. It’s edging towards Reate prices with this one, though, which is an interesting decision for a flat plain Ti framelock flipper.

I always find threads like this interesting. A new knife comes out and when someone starts a thread on it the first couple of pages are 90% people who are against it or don't want it. Then the knife starts hitting peoples mail boxes and that is when all the fans jump in and talk about how much they love it. I have seen it happen for years on here. This is in no way disrespect for those posting against the knife. Everyone has their personal reasons for not wanting a knife. It is just the people who ordered want to wait to get theirs to start showing it off and talking positively about it. I will be interested to see what happens here as folks start to get theirs in the mail on Thursday and Friday.
