ZT 0562ti

I always find threads like this interesting. A new knife comes out and when someone starts a thread on it the first couple of pages are 90% people who are against it or don't want it. Then the knife starts hitting peoples mail boxes and that is when all the fans jump in and talk about how much they love it. I have seen it happen for years on here. This is in no way disrespect for those posting against the knife. Everyone has their personal reasons for not wanting a knife. It is just the people who ordered want to wait to get theirs to start showing it off and talking positively about it. I will be interested to see what happens here as folks start to get theirs in the mail on Thursday and Friday.

I agree. I've owned 5 or 6 different ones of these knives and have never had an issue with any of them. I don't think the framelock is a subpar lock at all. All these stupid spine whack tests don't really prove anything. You hold a knife in your hand when you're cutting and you cut with the edge, not the spine. That horse has been beat to death and still doesn't hold any validity to the overall function of the knife. I'm gonna pick one of these up from you after the holidays Scott!

We plan to have a lot of fun anodizing these once we can get enough in stock. The first round has been flying out the door pretty darn fast so we will not start anodizing until we get our second round of them at the earliest. We have anodized a few for our good customers and the canvas on these is just incredible to do so many things with. It is an anodizers dream knife in a lot of ways.

I for one was very stoked about getting these in full ti. I was also happy this was a full production run and not a short lived sprint run. I want these to be around for a long time! While some people are not a full ti fan and would rather have Carbon Fiber, I personally prefer full ti. Nothing against Carbon Fiber, we just all have our preferences. The first one I pulled out of the box went in my pocket and I can say that it does not disappoint!

I also prefer full titanium to ti/cf.

Just got mine, and it's a perfect example of an 0562. It's just the way the knife should have been from day 1. I prefer all TI over CF/TI. It has such a great sound to it when it opens too, which is missing from the CF. Twack! Supper happy.

I think full Ti makes total sense on this model. I love CF as an embellishment or a solid slab without a liner for a nice Oz in weight reduction.

The original has a steel liner due to the studs being stop pins. Therefore. Unless you like the look of the CF pattern it offers no weight reduction.

I carry a CF version of the 21. The look is pretty cool. But the 20% cut in weight is the deciding factor.

Tough choice to make but full titanium kind of makes sense IMO. Too bad it's not textured or anodized. @whitty , do your thing.

Mine came yesterday & I like it better than my old Elmax/G10 version. The Elmax has a stonewashed blade surface, but the Ti/20CV version has stonewashed flats, with a satin finish on the ground surfaces; which gives it a little contrast. Flipping action is about the same on both. I think I remember the Elmax version needing some break-in, but I'm sure it was just me getting used to my first flipper/frame lock. Using my wife's kitchen scales, the weights are, 5.64oz for the Elmax/G10 & 5.43 for the Ti/20CV, which is not enough (for me, at least) to notice.

Let's see some more pics! I'm not in a huge rush but will have this one soon! The 0452ti was a nice surprise because of the aggressive weight reducing milling, and I think I'll like this one just as much.

Waiting to see some interesting ano ones. The plain flats just aren’t talking to me much. I do like that there was no weight gain though.

I'm a sucker for full metal handles, had a 562 that I really liked, and haven't purchased a ZT in a while. May have to spring for this one.

Depending on how impressive more upcoming pictures of 0562ti are, I may have to sell one of these, or one of my kidneys in order to get one ;)

I used to have a 562CF, but I sold it. Besides the detent feeling very strong (in mine, at least), I wasn't crazy about the lack of symmetry between the front and back. In other words, I prefer knives where either both scales are carbon fiber, or both are titanium, or both are G10. The half-and-half business never sits well with me. Anyway, I just ordered the 0562Ti and am excited to see it. One other thing I'll say: around the house, the 0562 series is a great knife, but it's not the best for EDC-ing, in my opinion, because it's so big (in the pocket).

All of you that have the ZT 562Ti coming soon please post some comments on what you think about it.
I’m curios also if the the all Ti version lives up to the hype. But really wish they could have gotten it down to 5.0oz.
My heaviest is my Umnumzaan. But that’s a lot of knife for the weight.
