  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

ZT 0566 - Now: Flipperless, CF scale, drilled & lightened, improved pivot, & more

Ive searched the deepest corners of my brain to try and figure this out and avoid asking this question because I know I'll feel foolish when somebody tells me but with the emphasis being on shedding as much weight off the knife as possible what exactly is jb weld in the torsion bar cavity in favor of?

Because when you add the larger washers the one on the spring side hangs over the cavity and is not supported by anything. The original washers are different sizes, a large one on the lockbar side and a very small one on the spring side.

Hey Guys,

super thread!
I am from Austria. I modified everything like explained and i wanna thank you for the detailed informations. The only thing thats missing are bigger washers. Under the posted link i can find them in the knivemaker store but they are out of stock.

Anyone an idea how i can get them?

Its really hard having everything prepared, but not able to finish the knife....

Thanks a lot

Robert

I remember reading on here that someone had simply asked ZT for a repair kit for this knife, and were sent both washers and the assist spring. Then you would have two larger washers. Not QUITE as large as the .53 dia. I used, but barely under .50 if I remember right... Or wait for more stock, or do a bit more searching. You love the difference, and the super smoothness, and having it built for the long haul... :-) Tks..

Check through the washers they have for sale there is another set that is almost the same as those linked. I believe the size needed http://usaknifemaker.com/folding-kn...gs/washer-bronze-3-16-016-id-with-505-od.html 3/16 in dia .505 ext dia and 0.016 width.
These are the ones I used and they worked fine.
