Zt 0566

I had some growing pains with mine but we're getting along fine now. I see weight mentioned frequently. But as a small framed guy I don't really mind the weight. Disappears in my pocket. Even in my comfy pajama pants sometimes I have to check if I have it or not. Now a Buck 110 that I feel...:p

I love 'em - the only downside in my book is that they are a bit on the heavy side for their size

Lately I have been rotating my PM2 and a BlackWash 0566. This is my first ZT and I have been very impressed. I really enjoy carrying the 0566 and it will not be the last ZT for me. However, I have only carried it during the fall and winter. Because it is a bit on the heavy side, I'm not sure how it will fare come summer and days of wearing lighter clothing. For now at least, it is getting plenty of pocket time.

The cryo is the budget version of the 0566, they came out with the cryo after the 0566 and the cryo is not made in the USA
I think that's an excellent idea. I actually bought and reviewed a Cryo G10 (on my non-Blade Forums blog) because the ZT0566 was out of my price range at the time, and my biggest complaint about the Cryo G10 was that it needed just a little more blade. I think the ZT 566 is a nearly ideal knife (based on design and inference from the Cryo, I've not handled one). When I could afford more I ended up getting a Fantoni HB02 that I am thrilled with, but that is close to twice as expensive as the ZT 566 and I really made my choice based on my rather monomaniacal attitude toward very specific design features. I'm sure I would have been thrilled with the ZT 566.
