ZT 0600 Feedback?

I just ordered one kinda on a whim and haven't heard that much feedback on this model. Usually there's a ton of feedback on ZT models but for the most part I've only seen unboxing videos on the 0600. I've been more than happy with all my ZT's thus far yet I've heard and read less about this model than any other I've bought.

Are you guys happy with your purchase and having fun using the knife? My only concern is how it feels in hand, I'm hoping that it fills the hand well (thickness wise). Does it feel solid when using it for tougher (nothing stupid, or abusive) cutting jobs?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

This knife will have no problem filling your hand. It will also handle ANYTHING you can throw at it. I personally though it was too large and ended up trading it off, but would like another. I am curious as to where you found one. Overall it is a great knife, nothing but the best from ZT!

I love mine. It's a BIG knife but it carries really well in the pocket. I would carry it more if it was tip down but that's just me.

I think the main thing is that there aren't many of them out there and people are afraid to really use them but it's impressive enough that people don't want to sell them. I haven't seen as many of them pop up on the cove as some of the other LEs. I know I will never sell mine unless there's a real RJ in my collection.

I'm obviously very late to the 0600 party, it took a while for the knife really get my attention but the more I've looked at it the more I've liked it. I which more info was out there on it...maybe I've looked in the wrong places or not hard enough.

I can't offer feedback, really, but it's just too shiny, rare, large, and expensive to be used. That's my personal opinion, anyway. Given the price, I'd probably buy a Sebenza if I was going to carry something that put that kind of a dent in one's wallet.

Even those are roughly 3x more expensive than I could justify carrying. One drunken night, one unnoticed slip from the pocket on the train, one bad fall in snow or water, one frenzied run that jostles it loose from the pocket... over a third of a grand gone. Pass.

I used to think like that but then I realized if they just sit in the safe I really have limited enjoyment out of the knife! Just carry them and get some fun outta it!

The 0600 is nice it fills out my hand nicely but it's freakin' hugeee! Since the blade is big it doesn't flip out as fast as I like but still fun to play with!

I probably wouldn't bother buying it if I didn't plan on using it, just received a Busse TGLB w/G10 handle a week or so ago that cost me more than the ZT 0600 and I don't get to use fixed blades as often as folders.

Are they still making them? I thought I had read that it was a LE but wasn't sure if they were still shipping them out in batches or if they're done at this point. I look forward to trying it out...that's a thick/stout spine on that blade. They also did a ton of machining on that titanium.

I'll let you know as soon as my preorder shows up (if ever), I'm not interested in selling a kidney and part of my liver for one though. I really want to try the steel on that knife. Anything made as close to BG-42 is absolutely worth a try.

The 600 is a pretty nice knife, its very big though. I haven't ever used mine I never will I just can't bring myself to use such an expensive knife. I have thought about selling mine because it isn't a favorite like the 561 or 777 or 801.

That's interesting, what do you prefer about the 0801 over the 0600? Is it mainly the price or and size or a bit of both? You like the 0561 (I love the 056X series) more than the 0600 as well? Other than the cost what is it about the 0600 that simply doesn't do it for you?

I only buy knives I plan on using, can't really afford/justify the money required to buy knives that I'd want to put just on display or keep in a vault. There are a few Dietmar Kressler customs that I'd LOVE to have but when it gets into that kind of money I always find other things that we could use as a family rather than spending it just on me.

You really need to hold one to feel how solid & well made it is. i love mine, it is real cool,it was well worth buying, although i got mine off the exchange for a little less than other sites are offering. Kershaw really did a great job with this, too bad its not a regular production piece.

The 600 is nice as I said, and the craftsmanship is stellar. The 600 to me is a very nice show piece but cost and size won't make it a EDC for me. The 801 just feels right in my hand, fantastic value for money. It does come down to price as I don't mind using a less expensive knife as an EDC but can't use something worth $400+ hence why I am considering selling my 600. The 560 series even though they are large they just feel super comfortable and are easy to use. The 777 is a dream knife to expensive for me to EDC but I love the knife and will always have it in my collection.

Im also curious who has them in stock.

On the other hand, I have carried mine every single day since i got it two days after its release. It kicked the zt651 from my pocket and hasnt come back since. Honestly i have hard used this knife and i LOVE it. IT has been fantastic at holding an edge for long periods of time, sharpening is a pain, but is doable. Its a very thick blade by most people's standards, and does a great job chopping and cutting. Overall, edge retention is my favorite part. Its a fairly heavy knife though, and it might be considered a pants sagger lol. It fills a pocket with ease, but is not so large its invasive or uncomfortable. it will cut just about anything and handles beautifully, fitting the hand just about perfectly despite its larger handle size. The handle is convex just enough to fill the palm and fingers without being an effort similar to other similar sized knives. I give this knife a 9.5/10, its super smooth and very worth buying.

Love it, love it, love it! But I like big knives and this one does fill that bill. As said, it is a solid knife at ~7 ounces with blade stock of 3/16"s that has a nice sweeping grind down to the edge. I got mine back at the end of July and carried it exclusively until the ZT0801 arrived and since then it has not been carried as much. The LE status doesn't bother me all that much as I rarely have need of any knife chore that my Victorinox Fieldmaster can't adequately handle, but boy do I love carrying a big knife anyway. I still have another preorder in that I continue to get updates on so I am still hopeful for a second one to come through. If it does I will put it up for my son. If you can get one it is well worth the money I think, and if you like well built, tough as nails knives, then you will be well pleased with your purchase!

I really like carrying mine around. I switch it up between the 0600, 0560cbcf, 0561, 0350's & now the 0777M390. The knife is just nice in hand, it feels solid when you flip it open. It just feels awesome. There is a significant weight difference when compared to the 0560's or the 0777, but I don't mind it. I use my knives at work to cut rubber hose, vacuum lines, plastic trim & carpet sometimes ( I'm an automotive tech, I would say light-medium duty for the blades) & I haven't had any issues. The only thing that I worry about is the pocket clip, being that it's not as flat as other ZT's if i'm not careful it can get caught on seat belts or scratch cars (luxury car owners don't like scratches on their cars ). I was on the fence when they where announced, but when I was finally able to hold one in hand I had to have one. No regrets. KlJ I suggest getting one if you can. If you don't like it I'm sure you can find someone here on the exchange that would want it. Hope that helps.

 I agree fully. However, it is such a beautiful knife, that I can't quite bring myself to carry it. I've decided I need two: one to be my EDC, the other to be my 'trophy wife'. :D

Thanks so much for the info, glad to hear that so many are enjoying them!

I DID order one, just before asking for the feedback. I bought it on a whim after finding a few in stock (they're sold out now) yet truly I hadn't read nor heard that much feedback about this model other than it winning the Blade Mag 2012 Collaboration of the Year. This is the first time in years that I've bought a knife that I knew so little about at the time of purchase, especially what other owners of the knife think about it after having owned it for a while.

I was tired of waiting for my preorder (Knife Center) and found a dealer that had 2 in stock, I only bought one and had to pay $100 more than my pre order, but now I know I'll get one, It took 8 pages of google, but I found one. I am one determined sonamagun.
