ZT 0600 Feedback?

I'm trying to find the thread in which Thomas (I think it was him) first introduced the upcoming ZT0600 and was showing a pic every once in a while before someone correctly guessed that the knife in question was indeed a collaboration with R.J. Martin. If I recall correctly KAI/ZT went back and forth about the use of B75P blade steel. I can't remember if it was due to how long it would take for them to get the steel in stock or obtaining enough stock of it for the project. Its been a while...either way, they built a Hell of a knife.

Maybe they plan on making more 0600's and simply had trouble getting enough B75P to make as many as they had wanted...who knows? I do know that I've been impressed with every ZT model I've bought thus far.

I just ordered one kinda on a whim and haven't heard that much feedback on this model. Usually there's a ton of feedback on ZT models but for the most part I've only seen unboxing videos on the 0600. I've been more than happy with all my ZT's thus far yet I've heard and read less about this model than any other I've bought.

Are you guys happy with your purchase and having fun using the knife? My only concern is how it feels in hand, I'm hoping that it fills the hand well (thickness wise). Does it feel solid when using it for tougher (nothing stupid, or abusive) cutting jobs?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for starting this. I just put in a order for one!

That's a good price, I paid $390-395.

I'd grab another (I'd really like to grab another) but I've gotta take a break, in the last few weeks I bought the 0600, 301, 0200 and a Busse TGLB and for me that's a bit much in a month. I do love every single one of them though...

Seriously, has anyone really USED their yet and needed to touch up the blade? I always use a Sharpmaker (with diamond and Ultra rods) and then a big ole' Stropman NoMomma strop but I'm guessing that the 0600's edge isn't set at 20 degrees per side from the factory and I'm wondering how the B75P is to sharpen...

Tell ya what, you strop one of those Busse TGLB and that INFI gets SHARP for such a thick blade...its crazy.

Just got an email letting me lnow the second one i ordered is ready to ship. Glad i was able to pick up the second one!

I just received #455. Does anyone know how to get 550 paracord through the lanyard hole? I tried using a paper clip and pliers, with no success. Even managed to nick the titanium trying to squeeze it through.

Hopefully someone has a trick to save me some time....

Have you tried dental floss? I use it all the time to pull lanyards through tight lanyard holes and when you're done you can floss with it.

Thanks for the floss tip. In the end, I just needed time, and the pliers from my leatherman wave.

I just grabbed one for $329.I can't wait to get this tank/beauty in my pocket. This will be my second knife in BG42 and should be a winner.

You lucky dog. I was holding out on buying the 0600, until I could get it for 330-340. In the end, I decided not to hold out, in fear of not being able to get one, and paid 399. I really wanted to get this knife at a fair price, and $400+ just seems to be too much.

So, it's bittersweet. I really love the knife, it has all of the characteristics of my grail knife. I truly feel content with my folders at this point, so perhaps this will save me money down the road, we'll have to see. If i could of scored one for $329, i'd feel a lot better about buying it.

Such is life.

I absolutely love my 0600. It is one of my absolute favorite knives to carry and play with. It flips like a dream and has such a satisfying feel and sound when it flips open. I have well over 50 knives from mid-tech level to high-end customs and this just seems to be my default carry these days. Sure I change it out from time to time but I always default back to this one as one that is just fun to flip and fun to use.

Then again, I like big knives and the size of the blade is one of the things that drew me to the knife, on top of how great it looks. Just a fantastic knife all around in my opinion.
