Well, there was The Great Zero Tolerance 0777 Serial Number Scandal of 2013. Everybody on BFC was making millions of dollars by posting falsified serial numbers and manipulating the 0777 serial number futures market.
 
Number 0751 here. Just arrived today from a fellow bladeforums member. It really is a nice knife.
 
Here is a close up of my serial #. 'Scuse the white specs, they are not really there but might be something to do with the flash and reflection. Dunno. Anyway:
