Although I have no insider info on the BLK, you can rest assured that if it says BLK on the etchiing it came from Tualatin that way.

I agree - not a bad price, I am interested in seeing one, but I will not be buying one as I already have a regular M390 version coming.

As to will the blk be in the regular run, I suspect that the total number made will be a result of how many scales they made, and I am pretty sure any number you have heard is the total number of scales that were machined in the skunk works - and I know that was a painful process, each scale taking a goodly amount of time to complete.

I'm 99% sure it's not BW. The Item code would be 0770m390BW not 0770m390BLK. The new 560 and 550 DLC blades have the BLK in their item numbers.
