ZT 801 S110V Sprint

$100+ more than a regular 0801. For $300 there are more cost effective options, even from ZT's own lineup.

The frames are even more unsightly than the original 0801 ones. They are also much cheaper to manufacture.

The 0801 was already a heavy knife considering its blade length - 5.5 oz. even with the milling - and this LE is 6 oz. That's really heavy.

S-110V is nice but it seems only marginally better than Elmax and might actually do worse at certain tasks.

Needless release as an LE, given how little has been changed from the regular 0801.

One thing's for sure, they know how to appeal to their target audience...

So I take it he doesn't like the knife? :p

The heft of this knife is one of things that attracted me to it in the first place. This is my third 801 and probably won't be my last. Best damn knife ZT has produced yet imho. And I like a lot of ZT's designs. The 0550/0551 was another home run with me.

But as far as the 801 goes, I love everything about it. It really lends itself to pimping quite well also - which I may do with this one actually. IDK, I'll see when it gets here. . .

Send those pants to the gym!!!! :p

Along with everybody who carries a William Henry or a Small Sebenza. They're wusses, I tell you . . . every last one of them. ;)

For what it's worth, if I'm going to dedicate 6 ounces to carrying a knife, it will be Fallkniven F1 . . . not anybody's folder.

I really like the looks, If I didn't just buy a 801 on the exchange at a great price I'd be all over this. This is a great knife, solid, smooth flipper, carries good, just a tough knife.

I love the 0801 in any variation, this one included. I just got one from Knivesshipfree. There are 20 left at the moment.

I havent seen a ZT I had to have for a couple years now. Sold my last one off quite some time ago. Too much Hinderer and not enough variation. Spyderco just keeps coming out with awesome blades that I can't stop myself from buying.

I really didn't like the original 0801. I wasn't into the milling. They would have had my money just doing the plain slabs on this model but the addition of s110v....I couldn't stop my credit card from jumping out of my wallet.
