Now that I've got your attention (snicker)
Does anyone have an exploded view of a ZT 808?

I don't have one anymore other wise I would oblige your pic request. Pretty much like an 801 inside except it uses metal races, I mean carriers (hehe :D) for the bearings instead of the blue plastic.

Dose it have races? like steel ones? ....lol

Yup, just found a pic of the 801..smooth as ice skates on ice until it needs a Zamboni...Close thread! CLOSE THREAD!

Oh well, Ill wait on this one.

Ikbs knives didnt have races for a decade. They are not neccessary. There is a huge difference between potential problems and realized problems. will the bearings wear into the ti? Yep. But it eventually stops after it cold rolls a race and the wear ceases.

Id love to see examples of knives with bearings that don't have steel races and only cold rolled in ti....except ZT, you know my feeling on that...they have to be out there ...

Since its being talked about... Can a knife have its bearings replaced with washers.

I believe so but you would have to find the correct thickness and be mindful of the Lockbar since they would have to sit over any pocket in the handle or blade.

AND who tells the titanium “Stop there! That's deep enough!..Were done cold rolling the groove now!” before it hits the bearing cage or blade?

Go look up the ikbs website and research cold rolled bearing races in titanium. And when you are done not understanding it make sure to post all the pictures that don't exist of bearings wearing through the scale or frame of a knife. Also look up work hardening via plastic deformation. Or just continue to speculate and challenge without evidence and knowledge.

Every knife made by Flávio Ikoma, korth as well as most Todd better knives. Flávio and korth invented ikbs and have been using cold rolled races in titanium for over a decade without issue. Again there is a difference between potential problems and real ones.

Slightly OFF TOP Has anyone replaced washers with bearings on ZT's specifically on ZT0200ST? Does it overcome ball dent resistance and fly open better than on washers?

I haven't replaced the washers on my 200. I would be surprised if anyone has replaced the washers with bearings.

What I can share is my experience with owning a couple 200s. I like a stiff detent. The 200 does not have one. The knife did not flip well for me. I sold the first one I owned. I bought a second one a year or so latter after they were discontinued. Flipped the same as the first: not good. I took it apart and polished the washers and around the pivot on the liners. I also bent the lockbar in to give more pressure on the detent. This worked quite well. The blade now flies out because of the smoother surface around the pivot and also the much more stiff detent.
