Oh man...just looked that one up.
That is one SEXY knife!

$1100 on knifecenter tho, ho boy! That's alot of money on a single knife. That's like 80 hours of work pay for me (after taxes have been removed)

Never owned ZT's but I have sold CRK's to fund Shirogorov knives.

so that should tell you something

It sounds like you are well past due for a ZT :D

ZT makes a nice knife although the company has been paralyzed over the last couple of years and hasn't produced much. Hopefully, they will be able to get their act together and give us something that will make you forget about Shirogorov.

n2s

Maybe I should pose the question this way. I have 3 ZT (0095,0562,0452). Sell them all and get the Shiro or enjoy what I have.

If you like your ZTs, I'd say hold on to 'em and find another way to fund your Shirogorov purchase. You can always choose which to sell off later.

Sometimes when a good knife (and doesn't matter what brand) becomes discontinued, you'd sooner find an albino unicorn than a replacement.

Good luck, OP!

One thing that puzzled me is no one ever complains about the hardware shirogorov uses ; ive seen many people mess up their screws by using a tool that doesn't fit right;I also think the dead retail prices like recon 1 charges are insane,as well as some of the Russian sellers, too .700.00 is 1 thing but 1100-1300 is way out of line; theres no way a 95T is worth almost 1100.00...

Too much for a knife imo, even if one can afford it with one paycheck. Worth it to some, and I'm sure they're great, but I'm perfectly happy with my middling under $300 knives.

They don’t exactly fly off the shelves at that price. They sit around a long time. I can pick up 5 nice ZTs and still have leftover for a steak dinner with my wife, appetizers, dessert and a bottle of wine.

You managed to acquire three ZT’s. Keep them, enjoy them and when funds are available, buy a Shirogorov.
IMO, comparing ZT to Shirogorov is not comparing apple’s to apple’s. I’ve got both, the best flipping ZT I’ve got is the ZT0801. A while back, people were complaining about the weak detent and poor flipping ability of ZT’s. They made a change to the detent hole and improved the flipping action to what it is today. They are good flippers.
Shirogorov is definitely a different feeling knife. Unfortunately, if you want one you have to pay U.S. prices. I don’t think you can buy directly from them. Unless you’re going to Russia, you have to factor in the mark up for the distributors here and I’d assume shipping, import taxes and all the other fees that apply. So, yeah I over paid for mine. I knew that going in and am willing to pay the distributor price.
Are they that good, for me, yes they are. Still have my ZT’s

Whether it’s better or not would probably depend on the size of your bank account. ZT’s quality is very good, the 0562 I had was buttery smooth and it would drop shut with a slight wrist flick.
