Zt zero tolerance 0562cf problem!!!!

I got mine today and it's going back. The screw on the lock side is hella tight and I think they used too much loctite... Ugh!
 
Well zt contacted me like I asked them too and the problem was the blade. They drilled the detent hole too large. They replaced the blade but good news for me is they do re-laser etch all the markings even the serial number. Score!!! Thanks zt
 
I scored one today from 1 Stop Knife Shop I cant wait to get my hands on it!!!!! Was told they got very limited shipment in and only 5 were left when I scored mine. There is alot of demand out there for this model hope its all I think it is

Honestly it's an amazing knofe they just get better and better as you break them in as well

Well damn I really don't like that and wish I would have known. So only I know it's the 75th one now. Well the handle at least. Bummer

So I hate to take back my good words about Zt/Kai but I have to. I finally recieved my knife back and although they did fix the play when the blade is closed they sent the knife back with the blade so off center it is touching the lockbar side. I've tried to fix it but it just won't. That's the small problem though. The big problem is the blade they replaced mine with is about a quarter inch shorter then my previous 562cf. And is even shorter then my 562 with the chipped tip and resharpened past that point. What the heck Zt. This is a 300 dollar knofe and I have to send it in twice just to meet factory specs?!?!? You have to be kidding me
 
What I really think is bothering me the most about this whole ordeal is that now I feel like I can't stand behind Zt. Just disappointing to me. Has this happened to anyone else. They said they will pay to ship it back to them which is cool but I'd rather not have to send my knofe away for three weeks again
 
hey,look how many cars are recalled ? once you get it back it will be a thing of the past. I sent my feinwerkbau air pistol out early sept to be repaired, its coming back this week. your lucky u only waited 3 weeks,i waited 3 months....

Yes, it has. I'm sorry it happened to you. I still like and recommend ZT knives, but yeah - any warm fuzzies I had for the company itself are gone.

Well I gueess ur right It could have been worse but don't u agree that a big manufacturing company that sells things and have for many years especially an item worth 300 dollars should be correct once it leaves their hands. And ok I understand somethings slip by, perfectly fine. But when I send it back in to be fixed and they send it back yet again not close to factory specs. Frustrating

No, I don't agree. The way you're explaining it sounds like there's a potent entitlement attitude and an inability to accept that mistakes happen. If they are paying its way back, then you're not losing anything. It's not likely that this is your only knife so it's not likely that you're without a cutting tool while it's gone.

If you are so dissatisfied, then call Kai and give them that feedback. They should know if there really is a problem that is damaging to your experience. Everytime I've provided feedback, they've responded kindly and made the situation more than right by me.

Sorry bro not everybody has a 5 thousand dollar knofe collection. That was my knife I use.

And yes the blade was a good quarter inch short and touching the lockbar bedor I took the pivot out and took out some of the globs of locktite they put in there. I got it a hair off the lockbar but that short blade just hit me wrong. It was probably just a machining thing. Wronf dimensions or watever. But all I'm saying is who is looking at these knives wen they send wm back. After we build a chipotle do you know howany inspections we have hah that place is perfect. As for my gf at Starbucks she had to be damn near perfect as well and all she is making is a 5 dollar drink. Just bugs me. And btw the older lady in the zt warranty dept is a dream she had gone over and above for me. One huge reason I love Zt. The other ladies in the office I've talked to Id rather not you could say
 
I didn't take pics because I just turned around and sent it in that same day but I will defenitly when it comes back. Third times the charm right?
