I just picked up one of these. Looks like it'll be a nice, light piece that'll fit well with my 0452 and 801/110. Really digging these new ZT offerings. There are a few more left but I got in trouble last time I told where to find one.

I got an order in tonight just in time on BladeHQ before they sold out. I have had this model on my wishlist since it was on the "coming soon" roster and just happened to check new arrivals earlier and saw it. I did not hesitate to throw my virtual dollars their way. I got up after ordering, went to the mens room, grabbed a soda in-transit back, sat down and clicked refresh and saw they were gone. A note was left saying "no worries, more coming soon."

I was like crap. So I called on other business and asked if my order made it in time and dude paused (I think to mess with me as he was chuckling softly) and said yeah dude you're good.

This (for some raisin) is a design I am really looking forward to owning, using and reviewing.

Not that I SHOULD be buying another knife this month I ordered one too. Loving these new ZT's.

I swear I have signed up several times with the "Email me when this item is in stock" button on BladeHq's ZT0450 page but checking email and spam folder nothing :\

Same here. I also did the 452 and they sent no email so I bought it elsewhere. I will also buy the 450 elsewhere

Now that several of you mention it, I did not get an email either. They may have sold too fast to be honest.

The rep I talked to tonight said that he was watching them sell as soon as they listed as "in-stock."

I also noticed that some tuff thumbz blades came up and sold out INSTANTLY as though people were waiting and clicking refresh every 5 seconds.

I have been checking regularly for the last week trying to keep ahead of some models I have my peepers on and I only saw it come in stock earlier today for about a time span of no more than 15 minutes or less.

It was not there, then it was there long enough for me to input the order and in the 5 minutes it took me to wizz and get a soda it was gawn.

Gawn is a word now. You have to have lived in the south to get it...

This is what I hate about BladeHQ.
What is the point of signing up "to be notified via email" if the shit sells out before the notifications even get sent??

They need to do a MUCH better job of alerting their customers beforehand.
The emails should go out 24hrs PRIOR to the knife going live on the website. That way people with real lives can know when to expect it up for sale, as opposed to being a slave to the refresh button once you "get a feeling" like it might be going live soon...

For the love of God, at least narrow it down to ONE SINGLE DAY that I have to waste refreshing New Arrivals every 5 mins.

Oh I agree completely. Except for love of an invisible sky homie. I have otherwise been very pleased with their customer service and live-stock website.

As noted on their website, they have had problems with pre-order ZT items apparently and it could be that their new first come, first serve policy has a side effect.

I am sure that I could not even afford the TuffThumbz knives because I am not rich enough, but I could not even tell because they sold out so fast that no price was listed lol....but back to the knife...

If you check the website (BHQ) they added photos and I did not know of the red barrel spacers until I saw them in the updated pics. Pretty cool. Or maybe they are pins. Not sure.

I'm fine with first come, first served, but at least tell me which day to show up.

It's like if you joined a rec basketball league and you wanted to know when your games were scheduled, and the league just tells you to "drive by the gym every hour or so every night and see if games are going on". >_>

Granted, from their perspective, I'm sure they don't care, as long as the knives sell out, but I'm really only concerned about my own perspective.
And from my perspective, I'd appreciate more heads up when knives are about to go up for sale.

I can see your point Rasco.

I am sure it is difficult for them to make an effective and fair policy. On one hand manufacturers don't always keep dead-lines. On the other, you have limited free time to generate web-site info and put it in the system.

It kinda stinks because you don't know when things are going live. Maybe an alert like you said that lets you know whats being added soon. Or a newsletter...

I'm not asking for up-to-the-minute updates on every damn knife they stock, but the popular ones, the hot sellers, it would be nice if they could shoot out a quick email, like "Hey guys, the ZT 0XXXcf is going up on the site later this week, so stay tuned!"

The way their "email alerts" system works currently, there's almost no point to it whatsoever.

I've NEVER ONCE been notified about a hot new knife *before* it sells out.

GPK offered preorders. I preordered mine shortly after the new blades were announced. ZT is breaking records with the speed they're bringing new knives to the market. My wallet can barely sustain the pace. The 0392BWBRZ is just another punch to the 'ol discretionary (knives & guns) account.

I also had an email update with BHQ and never got a notice, Just ordered one from onestopknifeshop...
