To those of you who have posted about issues with your 0560's in this thread - please contact our warranty department f you have an issue with your knife, particularly a lockup problem. We will make it right.

Thanks Jimmer...I did that today and will be sending in my 560 in tomorrow.

Well said Jim. Thank you. Keep up the good work. Duro is one of those people you just need to ignore and stop giving him attention.

Jimmer, When you apply pressure to the spine the blade moves. Doesn't do this on my other frame locks...Also, the lock disengaged. Try rinsing the knife in water, or something, I dunno what to say. I'm not bashing your company, just discussing this particular model. None of my issues are non-existant. Please stop trying to sweep the shortcomings of this knife under the rug and label me as some person who is just making stuff up.

Not sure why initially I was told I wouldn't be getting a refund, but after receiving the knife you issue one? Also, why did you pay out of your pocket full MSRP? The knife has problems, they might not mean much to you, but it has problems....

I do believe I'm going to side with Jim.

Just WOW! Can't you read? Follow the Mod's instructions and stop posting in this sub-forum.

Well, duro has proven himself to be a liar more than once, so apart from what was said already by Jim, there isn't much left to discuss. I'm out.

*Clears throat* Shut-Up!!!

@ duro

A Kershaw mod asked you to not post in this forum. The easy way would be to first listen to the request...maybe give it some time and then reach out to jimmer_5 later to see if you can work something out. Notice I said this was the easy way? There is a hard way.

@ everyone else.

Please don't make duro the topic of this thread.....we're not in Whine & Cheese so please act accordingly.

I'm not sure why we're still talking, yet here we are. We're speaking about this publicly, which is pretty much the opposite of sweeping this under the rug. I never specifically called you anything - I simply described a chain of events. All I know if that our warranty professionals checked over your knife and found nothing wrong with it. I checked over your knife and I have not been able to recreate the "failures" you have described. I never accused you of anything Duro - all I know is that the knife we received back from you is and continues to be fully functional.
'
Since we can't seem to make you happy, perhaps another brand might suit your needs better. From the video you just linked, I might recommend a maker of fixed blade knives. I'm certain they would meet the standard of being clamped in a vise and hit with an aluminum cane that is espoused in the video. Now please, take a break and stop creating drama in this forum.

Can you take a pic of the 'EL MAX'? And ya I got a 0560 and the blade finish was absolutely terrible. I mean the mechining marks were so severe that if you put your finger on it you can feel it.....

Sigh....

I can't not comment here..

I think you are confusing the stonewash that was intentionally implied as a finish with machine marks. They are not at all the same.

This thread was a cess pool and we seem to be seeing the real big ones float to the top.

The "EL MAX" was a typo that got laser etched on a number of 0560's a few months ago. It looks just like what I typed it's unfortunate, but it happened.

When we stonewash the blades, our goal is remove the majority of the grind lines while not totally "melting" the blade and losing definition in the grinds. Sometimes some machine marks are visible, but most are pretty smooth when they come out of the tumbler.

Guys, I am closing this one down. The original poster is getting helped, and I think we're done here. If he chooses to post about how his issue got resolved, he can start a new thread.

By the way, the deleted post directly about this one was mine - for some reason, I ended up with a double post. I tried to use my cool mod powers and delete it, but I guess I suck at this mod thing. :)

Thanks,

- Jim
