ZT0561 Oh yeah!!!

Congrats Big Horned Deer and Flattened Baked Flour. :D My dealer just told me that my 561 is on the way too. I'll be so looking forward to the arrival in my playground in Borneo. I think the 561 will open a durian as well as the BK2. :D

Ewww... those durians stink like a wet foot. I would not use my ZT on one. They are kinda like custard though.

Congrats on gettin' your 561. I've had mine for a month or so and I Really like it. You will too very soon....probably later on today.

Ah, my first day waking up with my 0561 on the night stand. I was busted last night flipping it in my sleep. My wife told me she woke up to <clack><clack><clack>.

Said she looked up and I was laying there on my back, asleep, fondling and flipping.

Just so you know, this is not uncommon for me. :D

I can't wait to hit the yard with it, think I'm gonna make some calls and get a ton of cardboard in here, so I can dull this thing and sharpen it. Then, drown it in a bucket of mud.

if you have a 24 hour walmart near by just show up arond 2 am and get some cardbord form the stockers

I work at a paper processing plant, making notebooks and envelopes among other items, and we are surrounded by cardboard and tons of other paper products that I try all my blades on. Cardboard is a test but if you really want to test your edge try one of the backs from a heavy duty legal pad size 8 1/2 x 11 /3/4. Tough stuff.

SO, I went to lunch with Ethan today, and as usual, we start our meal off with, "What did you get that's new?" This is pretty much the norm, since we are both devout knife freaks.

He whips out some new steel, and I whip out my new 0561. 20 minutes later, it was returned to its rightful owner, with much digression, I promise.

E's first thoughts were, Rick sure can design knives, and what kind of washers does it have? I told him about the KVT, and Elmax, and the rest, the knife told him.

We talked about how cutting edge (pun intended) this knife is, and how high the bar has been set for the smoothest operating folder he and I have ever held.

While we were taking a break from the knife BS'n, he fired up the iPad and started looking for a seller. :D

Barring a mudbucket test, this knife has simply, and totally blown my mind. I've never owned, nor use a knife like this, and granted, I'm not into high end folders much, since getting my first 0350, ZT has had me hooked through the bag. Damn.

So, I think Ethan was so impressed with the blade, that before the end of next week, I expect him to have one, or three.

What a phenomenal blade this 05601 is.

Thanks Moose. Now you've got me thinking that I need one of these. I'm going home next week so I think I'll stop in Tualatin on my way.

Congratulations on the 0561! I have the 0560 and LOVE it...gotta get me a 61 so that it never gets lonely. It's really saying something for ZT that most of waited almost a year for that knife to be released and it appears that not only is it a huge hit (sales wise) but we all seem to love the knife. With all that build up and all those expectations the ZT 0560/61 still blew most of us away and that is an impressive achievement by ZT.

Thank you brother, I have been blessed. And you ain't kiddin'. Honestly, I still need to put my 561 through the paces, but that KVT is something else. I was showing E how you free the blade from the closed position detent, and let it just hang, then rotate the handle, how the blade will stay in place. Bring the handle to full upright, and it locks. Simply amazing.

Mack, it would be worth your time, even if you just get to check one out. Becareful though. :D

Once you hold it, you don't wanna let it go.

That's what scares me.:D

Scared Ethan too. You should have seen him bashing that iPad, trying to find someone selling them.

He'll have one ordered today, tomorrow at the latest.

I can only imagine.:D

Now, I must be quiet when I approach Tualatin. If Thomas knows it's me coming through the door who knows what he may do.

Not sure, but I'd like to find out.

Whatever you do don't let him show you his drawers.

Umm, wow!

Moose, if you think the knife itself is awesome. Remember it's backed by probably the best warranty in the business too.
