Just saw that the next ZT collaboration will be out this year, the ZT0630. It looks like a CQC-8 blade on the 0620 handle.

What do you think?

Its more like the Tiger/Combat Systems Fighter blade shape. Honestly, Im not much of a fan of it but I still have intentions of getting the 0620CF

Looks good. I'm not too fond of the groove cuts in the G10. I like the way the grooves are done on 620/620CF more.

Nice but I'll just stick with the real thing

It's an interesting option to say the least. I believe ZT's 2015 knives are almost all S30V steel which will give the Emerson lover a nice steel alternative.

I personally love ZT's, in fact I've had a Hinderer and I still have the ZT0561 and I can say that for fit, finish, and function, the ZT was every bit of knife as the Hinderer.

On other big thing (for me) is the fact that this particular model comes "lefty tapped". I personally like the wave from my left pocket due to my pistol being in the way on my right. Not having to pay an extra $25, or $45 if I actually send something in, is quite a savings to me.

To each their own I suppose. Maybe I'm looking into this too deeply ha.

That's where custom scales come in. I didn't really like the G10 handle grooves on the 0620 either - should have stuck with a solid scale, the weight savings from those grooves are negligible and there's not really any improvement in ergos.

However, I wish they were able to implement a different handle design, or even make ZT versions of their imported Kershaw Emersons.

It has a much higher primary grind, so it should be thinner at the shoulder. Paired with the likely higher rockwell, and it won't take real "Emerson duty" I'd imagine, but will be a better paper slicer. Conventional "V" edge I'm guessing?

Yes I believe so. I don't think they plan on using the Emerson grind.

I'm back in then :) Knife looks great, just need the $ !
This and other new models are up on ZT webpage with specs and all.
