Now here is my dilemna :

I live in Austria, and i bought a ZT0777 from a very respectable shop, but as some as pointed to me, how can it be that i have a ZT0777 being outside the US when so few were produced in the US. Now i think this is a valid point. I have emailed ZT asking them how ic an positively identify that this is a legit knife, also i will talk to the vendor to see if he can give me a copy of his shipping order.

In the meanwhile, do any of you know how to 100% confirm that this knife is the ZT0777?

Best thing is : when i bought it i didn't know what it was, i bought it because it looks nice and i am a sucker for anything carbone / Ti / damascus

Worse thing is : i live in Europe...so i paid a lot more than you guys would have paid brand new...a LLLOOOTTTT more...and this was new from a shop...Now i really hope that it is the real deal!!!

Looks exactly like the ones that I have seen. Congrats on picking up a sweet ZT!!

Thanks guys, i'll try some better pics later on. I do feel (but that's not worth much) that it is a real one, but now i really want something on paper to prove it!!!

Very nice acquisition! Congrats.

If I had as much doubts as you've clearly expressed in addition to the shipping manifest I'd call up Zero Tolerance (503.682.1966) and see if they can trace and confirm the serial number.

Edit to add: Don't call ZT today since in the U.S. it's a public holiday and they're closed.

Thanks for the warning. Yes if i can not get anywhere via email i'll give them a call.

Actually, nearly. Carl Linger is one of the main Austrian Importer. On his website there is my ZT0777 with the order number : 470777 (i am going to print that page just because!!!) and the price of 569 Euros ($736)

I bought it in Vienna, in a shop called "Die Wiener Klinge" which is a registered / affiliated distributor / dealer for Carl Linger... there i spent 775 Euros (yep...$1002 at today's rate) .. talk about a margin!!!

Still, i'll just ask ZT to confirm just to be sure!!!

Thanks a lot
Ralphy

It's legit, No one has ever been able to fake the composite blade. Enjoy your amazing knife!

Chester22 : thanks for the kind words

Kai Corp: thank you very much for the positive confirmation, that's a weight off my shoulders!!!

Congrats Ralphy -

I was waiting for one for two years, and now it looks like I will not get one.

Oh well - lots of great new things on the horizon.

best

Ralphy,

Bottomline, superb great-looking and practical folder plus actually a good price for Europe.

Your not the only one :p Many people started looking after its debut, myself included, as well as refreshing various websites every day, few times a day :p Albeit I do have a pre order, hopefully Dave gets enough to meet my number.

Anyway, I don't want to derail the OP's thread.

You made a great purchase! It is an amazingly made knife, that has many of us drooling to find one :p Damascus, titanium, carbon fiber, ball bearings, all check! Sure you did pay a bit of a premium, but it has been going for around that price on secondary market in the states as well! IF you can even find it !! So once again congrats and enjoy!
